[Nooooooo!!!!!] Qin Hua shuddered. Her heart pounded loudly in her chest.

She had gotten carried away! Because of the chaotic battle, she had forgotten the most important thing.

She hadn’t paid attention to the people whom she had to protect above everyone else.

[This is all my fault.]

She had repeatedly failed despite giving her best and now… she was finally too late!

Qin Hua wildly ran towards the chimera as fast as she could. Her only hope was that Su Yan was not yet wounded by the beast.

How did elephants eat? What the hell was that in front of her? Did it already bite him?

Qin Hua’s brain was spinning. She couldn’t think clearly.

She sprinted as fast as she could and the gigantic elephant chimera roared loudly. At the exact same time, another beast came out of nowhere and slammed onto her, sending her flying.

Coincidentally, she landed right next to Lu Chen who was also injured.

Both of them looked at each other and then at the chimera in front of them. It let out another loud roar, forcing the pain and realization to ripple through their brain.

Everything was already over… Their friend was no more…

GRRRRROOOOWWLL!

Qin Hua shook her head and howled loudly! She didn’t want to accept this! She wanted to tear apart that chimera and bring him out if that was the last thing that she did.

Her black figure blurred and she bounded towards Su Yan once again.

Lu Chen as well raised his hand and focused every last drop of mana in his body, wanting to freeze the gigantic beast, starting from its mouth.

But before either of them could be successful, the chimera beast yelled loudly one more time. Weirdly, this time it sounded as if it was in pain and misery.

The next instant, unexpectedly, its body started ripping apart…

Qin Hua froze. Lu Chen as well froze.

Both of them stared dumbfoundedly at the scene in front of them, neither being able to process the recent events completely.

Everything had happened too fast and everything was completely out of their control. The beast in front of them was roaring so loudly that every other being nearby also had to stop and stare.

SPLURT! SPLURT! SPLURT!

Just like a tight shirt bursting at the seams and ripping apart, the chimera’s skin began to rip and before long a loud explosion resounded.

BANG! SPLOSH!

The gigantic chimera could no longer be seen standing and flesh, blood, and bones rained on everyone.

Both Qin Hua and Liam wordlessly opened and closed their mouths as another person’s figure appeared instead.

[It can’t be right…]

“What the…”

The two looked at each other and not able to hold back their thoughts any longer, both of them dashed towards the lone figure that stood not far from them.

A couple of other beasts came their way, but Qin Hua immediately activated her werewolf transformation and skewered the two already injured beasts to nothingness.

Notifications chimed in front of her, but she swiped them away and dashed ahead with her tongue lying out and swinging in the air like an animal.

Qin Hua only barely paid attention to the status as she leaped onto the person who was finally standing on his own, living, breathing, his eyes open and staring directly at her!

Lu Chen as well was right behind her. He also looked livid with joy! The guy who had been sleeping in a coma was finally awake!

Though he did not show it outside, he never thought that this day would come.

If it was just a few days… but now so much time had passed that a part of him really believed that his friend was lost forever.

And now! All of a sudden, everything was good!

They were all fine and had gotten out of this rift unscathed even though an army of chimera beasts had assaulted them and Su Yan was awake!

“Brother!” Lu Chen shouted and ran, his eyes completely red and tears falling out.

However, as opposed to the desperate expressions on their faces, the man in front of them looked completely calm and unfazed.

“Hmmm?”

Su Yan raised his hand casually and swatted away the wolf that was about to pounce on him.

SLAM! Qin Hua’s body was flung into the air as if she was just a speck of dust.

Lu Chen stopped in his tracks, horrified. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? THAT’S LITTLE WHITE!”

He no longer paid attention to Su Yan and ran over to Qin Hua. Her breathing was shallow and her body had been stuck in the window pane of a building.

A small red vial appeared in her hand, but it looked like she was too injured to use it for herself. Lu Chen quickly helped her drink it as he had seen it before.

He didn’t know what it was or where it came from but he could tell that it was a kind of healing medicine.

Checking if the vial was fully emptied, he gently lifted her body and placed her on his lap. Tears spilled out of her eyes, making him wonder if it was hurting too much.

He was about to ask her the same when a figure walked over to stand beside him, his shadow looming over the both of them.

“You know this animal?”

Lu Chen turned around and glared at Su Yan in anger. He could tell that Qin Hua was probably crying because this brute was alive and well! She must be in severe shock!

“You! What the hell is wrong with you? This is little white!”

“Little white… I see…” Su Yan muttered with a pensive expression. He then cocked his head to the side and added. “Your naming sense is bad. This thing is neither little nor white.”
