Max was taken to meet with Dragoon, the dragon monarch of the golden dragon clan and the current appointed head of the dragon monarchy.

Although Max was not nervous to meet with Dragoon, he was intimidated when he walked through his palace as the place was enormous and was built with precious stones and luxuries all around.

Let alone one hundred trillion gold coins, the cost of materials used to make the palace easily exceeded several hundred trillion, as if the dragon monarch decided to someday sell the palace to get some cash, he would probably suck the liquidity out of the entire Vampire monarchy.

His palace was a testament to the great legacy of the golden dragons, as the palace was renovated generation after generation, as precious stones were embedded into the pillars, until it became the glorious structure that it was today.

The hallways of the palace had several golden dragon guards who eyed Max with fear and disgust as they could sense an domineering aura when he was around.

Dragoon had already been briefed about Max’s feat of killing a tier6 dragon as a tier3 warrior as even the dragon monarch was surprised and impressed by a warrior of this calibre.

As Max entered the throne room, which was designed to fit in a council full of adult dragons, he could only stare at the sky high ceilings and half a football stadium sized seats meant for the council members to rest upon.

On the far end of the room, a majestic golden dragon sat on an equally impressive throne as he glanced towards Max with intense eyes.

Max had entered the room alongside Rhea and Mira, which was the only reason why he did not falter in his steps and kept walking forward without hesitation, as if he were alone, he would think 50 times before approaching a beast as massive as Dragoon.

Not only was the dragon monarch twice the size of most adult dragons, his golden body was spotless, giving him the aura of an ‘ Alpha ‘ individual even amongst his species.

” Erestonis nevetra ( Welcome to my humble abode ) ” Dragoon said in a deep voice in ancient Draconic as Max bowed in respect and replied ” Evitras niyet ( Thankyou for having me ) “

Dragoon smiled once he heard Max reply in Draconic as his evaluation of the boy improved by several points due to this simple exchange.

” I have prepared a reward for you, accept it with grace Dragon Slayer ” Dragoon said as a small pixie fairy flew towards Max with a small platinum tray in her hands over which was placed a single fruit.

Max tried to inspect the fruit, but it turned out that he could not peer into the fruit’s characteristics at all, which was shocking considering that it was a perishing item that could not be stored for too long.

‘ Grandpa Drax, do you know what this is?’ Max asked in his mind, hoping that the knowledge A.I. might know the answer, but regretfully Drax had no idea about the origins of the fruit either.

The fruit emitted the sour smell of a citrus type fruit, but it looked nothing like what Max had ever seen before, being pink in colour but covered in a purple haircoat like a kiwi.

Max took the fruit in between his two fingers, as he raised it towards Dragoon in a ‘ Cheers ‘ sign as he put it inside his mouth before starting to chew.

Max was not worried about the fruit being harmful for him, as the dragon monarch did not need to resort to petty means like poisoning, if he truly wanted to kill Max.

The fruit was indeed sour in taste, however as the juices of the fruit began washing down his throat, Max felt an electric current jolt his brain as a series of system notifications began assaulting Max.

Max could not believe his eyes as his stats began rising at an abnormal pace.

The more that Max chewed that fruit and drank its juices the more his stats increased as by the time he was done eating the whole thing, he had actually reached stat maximisation!

Max’s hands began to tremble in excitement, as he gave the dragon monarch a deep and honest now.

His life had recently become extremely hectic, he did not have the time to maximise his stats, but even if he was completely focused on achieving stat maximisation it would take him at least a year before he reached the peak of tier3 stat maximisation.

Max was not planning on giving up on his path of the perfect warrior, which meant that he was mentally prepared to stay at tier3 strength for the next 2-3 years while waging wars since he did not have enough time to rigorously train daily, however, that problem had been solved by a single gift by the dragon monarch, as Max finally understood why Mira was able to progress as fast as she did.

This was the power of her family background!

” Thank you dragon monarch, this gift is invaluable to me” Max said as he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to which the dragon monarch nodded in acknowledgement

” I had thought about killing you recently, because you are nothing but a deadweight to my Miracle.

You leech off her EXP and hardly ever contribute a portion back, holding down her progress.

However, today you have helped her gain a lot of levels by killing the tier6 god, proving you are worthy of being kept around, which is why I gave you a priceless treasure from the secrets of the golden dragon clan, instead of killing you ” Dragoon said as he gave his honest assessment to Max.

The dragon monarch did not need to mince his words, as while praising Max he also gave him the threat that while he had redeemed himself today, if he ever became a deadweight to Mira’s progress, Dragoon would not hesitate to eliminate him.
