I Was Sick of Loving You chapter 61

61 – Emotions and Alcohol

A strange feeling came, and four days passed. The feelings that came suddenly did not leave, but came into my heart and quietly went to sleep.

I care about the breath of that sleeping emotion. As I was conscious of that and moved my steps, the village came into view.

“I can finally sleep in my bed.”

“Last time I put up with it for a month, but you say something new.”

“Ah, at that time the situation was urgent, so I was able to endure it. I couldn’t have done it normally.”

“yes. Don’t schedule it like that this time.”

Saying that, the princess smiled lightly. In response, dormant emotions struggled.

“Of course! I bet your brother would like that too. Right, brother?”

“uh? uh yes I think that would be good.”

When I was conscious of my struggling emotions, I couldn’t properly answer the question directed at me.

“Brother, why are you reacting like that? Didn’t you hear what I was saying?”

“It is not. I have something to think about for a moment, so that’s all.”

“really?”

Rachel looked at me with suspicion.

“Yes, really.”

“I will believe you.”

Saying that, he cleared his eyes of suspicion, then smiled again and opened his mouth.

“Brother, I will show you something interesting.”

As she said that, she put her hands together and muttered something incomprehensible. Then the blue light enveloped her and scattered.

As the light dissipated, I saw Rachel, her ears shortened and her skin pale. It was amazing to see her disappearing features of a Dark Elf.

“braided! Are you curious?”

“Yeah, great. Can all Dark Elves change like this?”

“That’s not it. It’s possible because I’m a bit special.”

There was arrogance in her voice and expression when she said that. It was strangely unpleasant to see that figure, but the pure admiration was not diluted.

“Awesome.”

“Right, right? I don’t know because you lost your memory, but I’m a bit of a dark elf.”

The admiration that seemed indivisible was diluted in an instant.

“Yes, yes, that’s great.”

Feeling diluted admiration, he replied in a dry voice and moved his gaze. Despite doing so, Rachel continued to brag about herself. I didn’t want to hear those words for some reason, so I moved my steps while shedding them.

The village that seemed small grew bigger and bigger, and when the entrance to the village was only a short distance away, the princess opened her mouth.

“Rachel, did you say you were here before?”

“Yes! I came here with a brother a long time ago.”

“Then do you even remember where the inn is?”

“Of course I remember! Just follow me.”

Rachel said that and moved lightly along with a hum. After following her, a slightly old inn came out.

“This is the only inn. The building is a bit old, but the room is tidy.”

“It’s fortunate.”

After that conversation, they entered the inn, took three rooms, and then dispersed to their respective rooms.

I unpacked my luggage in the room assigned to me and put my tired body on the bed. Staring blankly at the old ceiling, I chewed on the struggles of my sleeping emotions.

A strange feeling that doesn’t respond to Rachel, who smiles every day, but only responds to the princess’s smile. Emotions that react and struggle, then hide again. I can’t understand that feeling.

I can’t understand it, so I think about it like this, but I still can’t understand it.

As I was chewing the cud meaninglessly without understanding it, the words of the princess and the old man passed by.

You said my mind was damaged. Is that because of it? When I first saw the princess, unlike Rachel, I felt ominous. Are strange feelings an extension of it?

I thought so, but I couldn’t figure out the answer. It’s just meaningless assumptions and ruminations.

I’m starting to get tired of doing that, and I’ve given up on thinking.

You’ll know when you get your memory back.

With that in mind, I wiped my body with the hot water the innkeeper had brought and took a short nap. After asking for such a short sleep, the world became dark.

Looking at the darkened world, I felt empty in my stomach. To fill that emptiness, I opened the door and saw the princess.

“Good night.”

A faint smile bloomed along with the princess’s words, and her dormant emotions stirred.

“it’s a good night.”

Along with my words, a hungry voice came from the stomach. A little bit of shame came over me at the ignorant sound of the ship.

“If it’s a meal, you can go and tell the owner. I went to visit you for a meal, but since you were soundly asleep, I told the owner.”

“thank you.”

Because of the wriggling emotions, he briefly bowed and withdrew. As I walked like that, I heard the princess’s voice from behind.

“Alric. After you finish eating, could you come to my room for a while?”

“I will.”

After answering that, I went down and filled my hungry stomach. And, still feeling the squirming emotions, he went to the princess’s room and knocked on the door.

“Princess Iris, this is Alik.”

“Okay, come in.”

When I opened the door, the scent of alcohol came in with a cool breeze. With that incense, I saw the princess with a slightly reddened face. The princess pointed to the seat in front of her and opened her mouth.

“Sit here.”

At those words, I sat down in front of the princess. The movement of the wriggling emotions grew a little at the closer distance.

“What did you call for?”

“It’s nothing, I called because I have something to ask of you.”

Saying so, the princess held out a wooden cup filled with alcohol.

“Let’s work together.”

I felt embarrassed by the words, but I swallowed and accepted the glass. The princess’s wooden cup and mine touched, and the princess emptied her cup. Seeing that, I closed my eyes and inhaled.

I felt the tangled taste of the first sweetness and bitterness, and the heat ravaged my throat. A hot, painful cough erupted from the ravaged throat.

“Are you okay?”

“it’s okay.”

I said it was okay, but my voice came out a little cracked.

“Is this your first time drinking?”

“It’s not the first time I’ve had it. It’s the first time I’ve had anything this strong.”

Laughter escaped from the princess’ mouth. The sound dissipated, and a pleasant but slightly faint voice came out.

“I said so before, and now you say so.”

“Is that so?”

“yes. You gave me a strong drink and said, ‘I prepared it because I thought it was my turn to talk in my own way.’ At that time, I couldn’t drink, so I reacted like you.”

Saying that, the princess put on a bitter but nostalgic expression.

“Did I really?”

“Yeah, I really did. Then he made me drink three cups in a row.”

At those words, I thought that I was crazy before I lost my memory. Putting aside the fact that he enjoyed strong alcohol, he did such a thing to someone he admired, and even to someone who couldn’t drink well. am i really right? What the hell happened in the last 3 years, did I become like that?

That question lingered in my mind.

“And I drank one more, so I drank four. Um, it was…”

A feeling of bewilderment came over me at the sound of a sad voice somewhere, and I opened my mouth.

“sorry. I don’t remember, but I think my head was weird. I’m really sorry.”

As I bowed my head and apologized, I heard laughter.

“It’s not your fault. It was just a conversation. It was the best conversation you could have. So, don’t apologize.”

A voice still sounded sad. I like that voice.

“Still, it’s my fault for making the Princess difficult.”

“I can’t help thinking like that.”

Saying so, the princess filled my cup with red wine.

“You said this. ‘If you’re really sorry, you can have another drink.’ Called.”

There was a hint of laughter in his voice that was muffled with sadness. I thought I had been hurt by that voice, but I drank to protect what I said, which I had no memory of.

The heat he had become accustomed to earlier ran down his neck.

“Looks like you’re okay this time.”

“It’s better than before.”

“Then I’m glad.”

The princess’s cup and mine were refilled.

“Then do the masterpiece again.”

A strange feeling stirred in the blooming smile, making it impossible to refuse. Without refusing, he continued to empty his drink. As it was being emptied like that, heat rose up and the world shook.

In the shaking world, the red princess’s face regained its original color.

“Now is the right time.”

“What do you mean?”

“Nothing. Just listen.”

The princess said that and covered my mouth with her hand. Warm warmth spreads in your mouth, and the wriggling feelings grow.

“You said this a long time ago. ‘It’s a drinking party, so you can talk comfortably. If you have a sensitive story, you can just forget it with a drink.’ Called. Since you are sincere and upright, I believe that you will protect me even if you do not have memories.”

After saying that, the princess removed her hand, held my hand, and calmed her breathing.

“Alric. Although I have committed an irreparable sin against you, I am too selfish to let go of my heart towards you. I can’t stand it. Even so, I was ashamed to commit such a foul. I hope you understand.”

At those words, the swaying emotions fully awoke, and I raised my head.

“Alric. I love you. In this life and in the past, I love only you.”

When the princess said that, she smiled and shed tears. It looked beautiful and felt pitiful. Beyond that feeling, a rearing emotion engulfed my heart.

Beyond the heart that was swallowed up like that, a similar but much heavier emotion came over. Even though the feelings were so painful and cold, I felt happy.

“I will say it again later when your memory returns. My love, have a nice dream.”

With those words, I felt a soft warmth on my cheek, and the darkness came.
