Chapter 2 – Special Investigation Unit Commander Marofe

-Emperors Kingdom’s Special Investigation Unit Commander Marofe’s POV-

I grabbed my notice letter and dashed into the door in front of me.

「You should ask for permission first before entering. You are going to be a commander from now on and your subordinates will make fun of you if you don’t follow the rules.」

It was the prime minister’s, Gaji, room. He raised his gaze from the paper he was looking at and looked at me but his gaze immediately returned to the papers.

「Gaji! Yoh bah toh」

「Are you alright? Please calm down a little. I have no idea what you are talking about.」

Gaji lets out a sigh and looks at me.

「Hah, what’s this all about? How did I become the commander?」

「Ah, it’s about that. I recommended you. Congratulations on your appointment as the commander of the Special Investigation Unit.」

Originally, Gaji and I were fellow slaves who were kept in the same cage.

「I appreciate that but….eh, are you saying that it has already been decided?」

I checked the content and found that it was a list of members belonging to the Special Investigation Unit.

「I don’t want to interject too much but my recommendation for your second in command would be Pisce Longora.」

「He’s close to your age and I hear that he has good personality.」

「One of his friends is Appi Gagas.」

「I hope you will speak to vice commander Pisce yourself. This will be your very first task as the commander.」

「They informed me half an hour ago that the room was ready so you can go there on your own. 」
