Chapter 701 – Three-Way MOBA Chaos – Opening

Devil was one with the other 99 Chaos Realm Faction members on the trapped hook. She observed the game world from above.

Miaomiao, Xiang Yu, and the roman gladiator, Marcus, had a staring contest. None of them left their tower’s protection area.

The stalemate soon ended as minions from three factions reached the bridge.

From Xiang Yu’s side, six martial artists and six talisman masters sprinted toward the center.

From Marcus’ side, six human-like golems and six robot mages marched forward without fear.

Behind Miaomiao, six swordswomen and six hooded women with dark auras rushed to the battlefield.

Soon, all minions of each faction separated into two groups. Each group consisted of 3 melees and 3 ranged minions, rushing toward a hostile faction.

As a result, two group fights occurred between these 36 minions.

Marcus hesitated about which minion group he should support. As a brawler and a melee combatant, he stayed behind his minions and waited to steal the killing blows.

On the other hand, Xiang Yu seemed to get too excited. He laughed and rotated his halberd.

“Hahaha! This looks like a battlefield, and I like it! Come! I’ll kill you all!”

Ignoring basic game mechanics and game purposes, Xiang Yu charged toward the confusing battle between the three faction’s minions.

Noticing that Xiang Yu had the advantage of speed because of his horse, Miaomiao consulted Killer Queen.

‘Say, are your strength suppressed as well? Do you think we can do something about that cocky horseman?’

‘Most of my abilities are sealed. Well, it might be different if I get to steal someone’s Qi and blood.’

‘So, you need to steal somebody’s Qi.’

‘So do you. Try to remember the old days and what you had learned when you were a mortal. Those skills might be useful.’

Miaomiao took a deep breath and rushed toward Xiang Yu, brandishing Killer Queen.

As Miaomiao rushed forward, Xiang Yu noticed his incoming charge from the corner of his eyes.

Without caring about MOBA levels, skills, strength, or game mechanics, he controlled his horse and rushed to meet Miaomiao’s charge.

“COME! I’LL KILL YOU FIRST!”

Miaomiao narrowed his eyes. He accepted the challenge and got into the back stance while running as if he was preparing to slash the horse and the rider.

Xiang Yu sneered. His horse galloped directly toward Miaomiao to run him over. On the way, the horse collided with golems and swordswomen, knocking them over.

Suddenly, Miaomiao shifted his sword into the inside stance and thrust forward!

The katana plunged into the charging horse’s chest!

Then, Miaomiao let go of his katana and let Killer Queen do her things. He kicked the ground to avoid a direct collision.

Unfortunately, the weakened body of Miaomiao failed to put enough force. The horse ended up colliding with him, knocking him backward.

Moreover, the halberd of Xiang Yu made an arc, and the blade made its way toward Miaomiao’s neck.

Miaomiao bent backward. The sharp blade of the halberd grazed Miaomiao’s neck and chin, leaving behind shallow wounds.

Xiang Yu clicked his tongue. He blamed Pangu and Mu-Nyang for nerfing his strength. Otherwise, he would have beheaded Miaomiao instantly.

The war god pulled the rein and turned his horse around. However, his horse didn’t respond.

The warhorse suddenly fell and sent its rider tumbling to the ground!

“DAMMIT!”

Xiang Yu rolled on the ground while he was carrying his only immortal-grade halberd. When got back to his feet and turned toward his opponent.

However, because of the momentum of the horse, he got deep into Miaomiao’s lane.

And he accidentally got into the Chaos Realm Faction’s turret range.

The turret immediately turned to Xiang Yu. It released a bell warning sound and fired a rocket at him.

Xiang Yu heard the bell sound and turned around, only to find a rocket flying toward his location.

BOOM

Unfortunately, the rocket was only powerful enough to destroy a modern tank. The mortal physique of Xiang Yu turned into scattered burning flesh and bones!

Then, Xiang Yu’s corpses vanished.

A small portrait of Miaomiao and Xiang Yu appeared on the screens of spectators. Then, one of the hostages on Hongjun’s side was stabbed by a hundred metallic needles, killing him on the spot!

Miaomiao also received feedback from the game system. 400 gold coins entered his inventory.

“Moron! Hahahaha!”

Miaomiao rushed back to the dead horse and pulled Killer Queen out. As soon as the katana came out, she laughed.

‘My strength is coming back! Keep killing, Miaomiao!’

Currently, Xie Tian stood in front of two representatives from the Player Faction. He let out a sigh.

Although Xie Tian was supposed to be on his side’s top lane, in reality, he ended up facing Player Faction’s bottom lane. As such, his opponent came with a damage dealer and a supporter, which made his lane fight troublesome.

“He’s alone! Push him to the tower!”

“This will be easy. We’ll deny his creeps and KS!”

A human rifleman and a female mage killed all minions from Xie Tian’s side and suppressed him with their ranged attacks.

Xie Tian calmly parried bullets and fireballs with his blade. He patiently stayed within his turret’s protection range, waiting for the players to make a mistake.

Unfortunately, the two players didn’t pursue it. They pushed Xie Tian back to the tower with their suppression attack techniques and let the minions on their side reach Xie Tian’s tower.

The turret fired rockets at Player Faction’s golems and robot mages. Some rockets killed the minions in one hit, but Xie Tian also managed to kill a couple of them himself.

Still, Xie Tian wasn’t satisfied. He could tell that, in the long run, he could not outgrow or outplay them at this rate. He had to do something to change this trend.

As Xie Tian was vexing, Ma Moxi sent a voice transmission to him.

‘I can see your position on the minimap. Be patient and grind under the tower. I’ll head there in a minute.’

Xie Tian widened his eyes in astonishment. He couldn’t regain his abilities to use Qi or skills yet, but Ma Moxi already could use his.

‘How are you using your Qi already? Has the game not suppressed you?’

As Xie Tian couldn’t use the voice transmission skill yet, he spoke in his mind.

‘Hahaha! I’m level 3 now. I’m a jungler, so my early game growth is faster than laners. But in the late game, I can fall off when all my item slots are full.’

Xie Tian nodded as he recalled the memory of Miaomiao. Then, he understood everything.

‘I guess experiencing it through someone else’s memory doesn’t make me a better MOBA player. Well, sorry to act like a noob.’

‘There’s a first time to everything. Now, wait for pings.’

Two troublemaking newbies giggled and laughed as they bullied the sole combatant of Hongjun’s side.

Clem and Meng Xin had helped Ma Moxi defeat a giant golem in the jungle earlier. And now, they fought according to Ma Moxi’s instruction, last-shotting minions and attacking Hongjun’s men if they could.

In front of Clem and Meng Xin, an elder in white cloth struggled to ward off the aggressive hydra and his former vessel.

“Meng Xin, you ingrate! I gave you the Heavenly Fate Crystal! How could you betray me?!”

Meng Xin snickered, “Thanks for your donation, then.”

“You traitor! I’ll hunt you down to the end of the universe!”

“You didn’t save my family when we were at war with Netherworld Realm! Do you think I should still be loyal to you after all your bullshitery?!”

“You wouldn’t have become what you are today without me! You would have stayed a beggar for the rest of eternity without my intervention!”

“Nah, you’re an asshole. Do you think you can kill my family because you helped me once? Sins are sins, and favors are favors. I don’t mix them together. The moment you joined forces with Hongjun and Pangu, you’re my enemy!”

The conversation didn’t make any sense to strangers. However, Clem could guess that Meng Xin and All-Heaven Sage had some kind of history.

FWOOSH

Light suddenly enveloped Clem and Levy. The screen panels in front of them showed that they could now use a new skill.

Clem cackled and launched a long-range breathe attack at the sage from outside of turret range. An invisible bullet jetted toward All-Heaven Sage’s head.

“!!!”

The sage managed to tilt his head and dodge the bullet by a hairbreadth. Although his body was weakened, his sense was still as sharp as when he was a sage.

Unfortunately, his body couldn’t keep up with his battle sense. He could see another breath attack from Levy, who fired a water tornado at him.

BOOM

The water stream smashed the sage’s chest and crushed his ribcages. His bones cracked, and he couldn’t get up.

Meng Xin glanced at the turret and the minions from his side. As soon as the minion girls got into the turret range, it began shooting at the soulless girls right away.

Seeing that the turret was occupied, Meng Xing dashed into the turret range and plunged his double-edged sword into All-Heaven Sage’s chest.

“Ugh, you!!”

Meng Xin sneered, “Consider this a karma severance. From here on out, we kill each other until one of us can no longer resurrect!”

“You’ll regret this!”

The old sage vanished as his mortal physique died.

Two minutes of the game had passed, and Miaomiao’s side earned two kills.

However, in this three-faction MOBA game, the chaotic skirmish was just an appetizer.

While Miaomiao’s men contested against Hongjun Faction and Player Faction, the two latter factions also collided.

Deep in their territory, Player Faction’s top lane and Hongjun’s bottom lane met each other. Like how Xie Tian and All-Heaven Sage experienced the unfair fight, Eve and Sun Crow had an easy time against a solo player.

“Die, scum!”

The featherless crow’s powerful beak sliced off Ke Lin Ji’s neck, killing the first player while Eve distracted the human.

The fight was easy. Eve simply charmed the fat man, and Sun Crow delivered the finishing blow.

“What now?” Sun Crow asked Eve.

“Hongjun told us to keep killing enemies to lift the seal on our bodies. For now, let’s keep killing the minions and find a way to destroy that tower.”

“Fine.”
