133 – Formidable Lei Tie

In the master’s room on the first floor of Leisurely Farmhouse’s main house, the candles in the four corners were lit all night. At the first sound of the rooster’s crow, Lei Tie woke up from his deep sleep. He turned his head to the side to look at Qin Mian, who had his mouth slightly open and snored. He was sleeping soundly with one arm hanging out.

Lei Tie gently moved sideways, carefully put his arm into the quilt, and gazed at his sleeping face for quite a while. Then, he lowered his head, opened his mouth, and covered those ruddy lips. The fast-asleep person was disturbed; he licked his lips and continued to snore loudly. The tip of Lei Tie’s tongue took the opportunity to drill in, gently and soundlessly stirred in the other’s mouth. Once he got the other party’s subconscious response, he kissed more pliantly and deeper.

“Huu… A-Tie…” The youngster’s face turned red from the stifling kiss and his breath was short as he vaguely mumbled.

Hearing his name, the gentleness in Lei Tie’s eyes seemed to overflow like water. Fully satisfied, he let the youngster go, licked the water stains on the corner of his lips, and patted his back.

Qin Mian crooned twice in his sleep and went fast asleep.

Lei Tie looked back at the inner side of the bed. The two little ones were sleeping soundly, shoulder-to-shoulder and motionless.

Outside, the first glimmer of dawn made an appearance. He quietly dressed up and got out of bed. When he returned to the room after an hour of practice, the big one and the two small ones were still asleep.

Shortly after, Qin Mian’s eyelids moved and his eyes opened in a daze. He saw the man sitting on the edge of the bed and staring at him. “A-Tie, I had a dream that we had two sons.”

Lei Tie brushed away the hair on his cheek and motioned him to look at the bed.

Qin Mian turned his head to look over and immediately sobered up. It’s not a dream, they truly have two sons!

It was unknown when the two little ones had woken up, but they didn’t cry. Their two small hands grabbed on the small quilt to play with as they made the sound of babbles, quietly enjoying themselves.

The little one’s face was chubby and looked soft. Qin Mian couldn’t help but stretch out his hand and gently poked it.

“So soft.”

Lei Tie half-leaned on Qin Mian. He also reached out his finger and poked on the baby’s face.

Qin Mian looked up and saw at the gentleness in the man’s eyes, he felt a little sour in his heart. Will he still be the person this man most cares about, now that there are sons?

Lei Tie sensed his absent-mindedness and bowed his head to look. The daze in his wife’s eyes made his expression a bit silly and blank, which was rarely seen, as though his wife was hinting him to bully. His throat felt dry and tight. Complying to his heart, he pressed on Qin Mian and vehemently demanded kisses.

Qin Mian’s inexplicable sadness suddenly disappeared. He put his arms around the man’s neck and kissed back more fiercely than he did. The result was, they entangled for a long time before they separated. Qin Mian’s lips swelled and Lei Tie’s clothes were in a terrible mess by his pulling.

The man’s fervent eyes were still on him. Qin Mian was feverish all over his body, while the electric-like feeling remained on his back. He quickly said, “The children are here!”

Lei Tie straightened up, slowly tidied up his clothes, and looked at two little ones.

“Wife, what are their names?”

“Uh…” Qin Mian hadn’t think about it. He soon had an idea, “Character dictionary¹!”

He used to see some parents holding character dictionaries to give their children names in TV dramas. He thought it was funny. Today it was his and Lei Tie’s turn. In a second, the character dictionary appeared in his hand. He kept this character dictionary when he was in senior high school, still very new.

As he turned over the pages, he asked Lei Tie, “Are the two children surnamed after me, or both of them with your surname, or one with your surname and the other with my surname?”

Lei Tie took a pillow to let him lean against it and pulled up the quilt on his body. After the birth of the children, Qin Mian’s body no longer showed weakness or fatigue, nor was he afraid of the cold. It was determined that all the previous conditions were caused by the two children. However, he was used to taking care of Qin Mian; his movements were very smooth.

“Three-character names. The eldest takes your surname and the youngest takes mine. Put the same middle character will do.”

Qin Mian added, “Not only the middle character has to be the same, but the third character had better be a word and expression. This way, others will know that they are brothers. ”

“En.” The expression in Lei Tie’s eyes suddenly gloomed. He pecked on his wife’s forehead, “Slowly think, I’m going out.”

Qin Mian noticed that his mood was not right, “Where to go?”

“Don’t worry. Settling a long-overdue problem.”

Qin Mian thought of something and no longer asked. He cupped the man’s face and pecked him hard on the lips. “Go and come back early to eat.”

“Alright.”

When Lei Tie came out of the house, the sky was already bright.

He looked up at the clear sky and walked toward Leisurely Farmhouse’s entrance to go out.

The servants had already woken up. Before they started to work, they did the odd jobs in Leisurely Farmhouse, which comprised of sweeping the ground, feeding the chickens and pigs, and so on. The servants, who were sweeping the leaves, respectfully saluted Lei Tie and retreated to one side.

Out of Leisurely Farmhouse’s gate, Lei Tie walked toward the east of the village, neither hurry nor slow. People who were familiar with him could find out that his aura today was colder than in the past.

When Du Shi got up in the morning, she discovered that she was still unable to speak. Furious, she knocked down the round stool in the room. After she strangely fell yesterday, she couldn’t make a sound. She believed that she couldn’t speak because she was frightened by Lei Tie’s terrible expression. Yet, a whole night had passed and she still couldn’t make a sound!

She grabbed Lei Daqiang’s shoulder in panic and shook him hard, “Un! Un! Un!”

Lei Daqiang, who was woken up by her, tightly frowned. He waved his hand and impatiently said, “What are you doing? It’d have been better to spend the night in Wei’er’s room.”

Angry and resentful, Du Shi grasped his head and motioned him to look at her, and then pointed to her mouth.

Lei Daqiang stared at her blankly for a good while before he uncertainly asked, “You want to say that you can’t speak?”

Du Shi repeatedly nodded, her eyes filled with profound fear and uneasiness. She yelled in her heart: It’s the Eldest! It’s certainly the Eldest’s trick!

However, she could neither speak nor write. She could only make all kinds of inexplicable gestures to Lei Daqiang, anxiously.

“How could this happen…” Lei Daqiang didn’t look at what she was gesturing at all. Although he thought it was strange, he didn’t take it seriously. “Did you catch a cold so that your throat is blocked? Don’t mind it, let Doctor Liu check you later.”

His uncaring attitude infuriated Du Shi. For the first time in her life, she glared at him with hatred. A few days ago, Zhao Sifa secretly came to find her and Lei Daqiang, suggesting that they could control Lei Tie and repel Qin Mian by giving Lei Tie a concubine, and recommended his maternal cousin. Lei Daqiang then thought it was a good idea and they agreed to this plan.

Du Shi was indignant. Lei Daqiang also had a share in dealing with Lei Tie, so why did she suffer alone! Why? She gave birth to a few children for this man and worked hard for half her lifetime, was this how the man repaid her?

She suddenly pounced on Lei Daqiang, beat, and scratched him as if her life depended on it.

Lei Daqiang was astounded for a moment and then quickly reacted. He dodged her hands, cutting in a sorry figure, and roared, “You have gone crazy!”

A man’s strength was much greater than that of a woman. With a push from his hands, he threw Du Shi down on the bed and quickly got out of bed. He gloomily stared at the tearful Du Shi and said in disgust, “What madness, first thing in the morning!”

With that, he flung his sleeve as he left and turned into Wei Shi’s room.

Wei Shi was leaning on the head of the bed, breast-feeding the baby girl. Upon seeing Lei Daqiang entering, she blushed and hurriedly broke off his gaze with a quilt.

“Husband, are you…alright?”

Lei Daqiang touched his scratched face and went to embrace her shoulder. After Wei Shi gave birth to the child, she became even more charming. The more he looked at her, the more he was fond of her.

“Who knows what madness she had! Making trouble out of nothing!”

Wei Shi smiled as she leaned on his shoulder, not saying anything. Without her doing anything, Lei Daqiang was disgusted with Du Shi, and that was what she would like to hear and see.

The maid Xiao-Xi made breakfast and brought the meal to the table.

Du Shi appeared with swollen eyes. It was unknown what she was thinking as her gloomy eyes glowed with cold light.

Before the few people had yet lifted their rice bowls, a tall figure appeared at the gate of the courtyard and walked into the house at an appropriate speed.

Upon seeing the visitor, Du Shi immediately got up, and maliciously rushed over. Her throat made sounds of “aah”.

As soon as Lei Tie waved his hand, Du Shi fell to the ground.

With obstinacy, Du Shi stood up and ran to Lei Daqiang. She pulled his arm and pointed to Lei Tie. Her mouth kept making “aah”, while anger and hatred intertwined in her eyes.

Lei Daqiang, Wei Shi, Lei Xiangli, and Lei Chuntao were all confused by the scene playing in front of them.

Lei Daqiang was the first to react. He didn’t dare to believe it. “You mean that you can’t speak because of… Eldest’s doing?”

Wei Shi, Lei Xiangli, and Lei Chuntao all looked at Du Shi in shock. Can’t speak?

Du Shi glared at Lei Tie in indignant resentment as she repeatedly nodded.

The bewildered eyes of Wei Shi, Lei Xiangli, and Lei Chuntao fell on Lei Tie at the same time.

“Eldest Brother, what’s going on?” Lei Xiangli was at a loss. However, in his heart, he believed that Lei Tie would not attack Du Shi for no reason. Therefore, his tone was still respectful toward Lei Tie.

Yesterday, it was Du Shi’s words that stimulated Qin Mian to have a sharp pain and his spiritual Qi fluctuated, which eventually led to the birth of the two babies a few days ahead of schedule. Fortunately, Qin Mian was not injured. But when he thought of the possibility of Qin Mian getting injured, Lei Tie couldn’t wait to kill Du Shi. He didn’t answer Lei Xiangli’s words. His expression was frozen as his indifferent eyes slowly swept over Lei Daqiang and Du Shi’s faces, “Lei Daqiang, Du Shi, what have you two done is clear in your mind. Today, I’m here to tell you that if you meddle in my affairs later, I will let you understand that there is something more painful than death in this world.”

Lei Daqiang and Du Shi were greatly astonished.

In the central room, a perfect silence prevailed for a moment; the low pressure was suffocating.

After a good while, Lei Daqiang found his voice, but he was trembling so much that he could hardly say a complete sentence, “You… You… Do you even dare… even dare to kill your parents?”

Lei Tie stared at him without expression. His voice was hardly indifferent, but rather very dull, and yet his eyes seemed as though they could swallow people, “You can try.”

Lei Daqiang was stupefied and his legs weakened. He staggered for a moment and nearly fainted, but Wei Shi supported him in time.

Wei Shi’s voice was calm and peaceful, “Eldest, don’t worry. From now on, your father will never go to find trouble with your family again.”

Lei Daqiang opened his mouth wide but not a word came out.

Lei Tie lightly looked at her, “Later, if your daughter is in trouble, we’ll help her once.”

Wei Shi greatly rejoiced. Lei Tie was a capable person, his commitment was more precious than thousands of wealth. She gave a wee smile. “Qingqing is a lucky one.”

Lei Tie turned to leave. The view of his back looked silent yet dangerous.

Du Shi frantically hit Lei Daqiang with her fists and indignantly pointed to the direction of Lei Tie’s leaving while she kept calling out.

“Ah! Ah!”

Lei Daqiang looked hesitant.

Wei Shi’s pretty face turned to gloom, exasperated at Lei Daqiang. “Husband, you still don’t understand? Lei Tie is not a person you can control. If you offend Lei Tie, he may be able to let us go, but he will never leave the matter at that if you offend his wife. His wife is his reverse scale²! Do you have to destroy our family to be satisfied?”
