The Sword Deity in Tokyo – Chapter 251: The Unlucky Ayumi Murakami Bahasa Indonesia

Ayumi Murakami thought that she was done for when she tripped.

She did not expect Manager Muraoka to help her out of it by making a joke, and she was grateful. She stood up slowly and replied with an awkward expression, “Sorry, Miss Gentera ended last night’s chapter at the most exciting spot, and I just couldn’t wait. I rushed over when I heard that she’s here.”

Muraoka Hiroshi was actually right, Ayumi Murakami was technically a fan of Chiba Shiori. As the chief editor of a light novel editorial room, she had been paying constant attention to “Loading File of Tokyo”… If it was just yesterday, “Loading File of Tokyo” could only be considered as an excellently written light novel.

But after the plot was published yesterday, it could be a phenomenal light novel if the right actions were taken. It could probably pull in countless fans after getting a manga and anime adaptation. It was a fact that many enjoy mangas over light novels and enjoy anime even more than these two.

Each of these media has its own large fan bases, especially anime.

She knew that it had been a while since a light novel of such caliber appeared. Many other editors in the industry had been trying to contact Miss Gentera, but Chiba Shiori ignored all of them. She was clearly biding her time.

Ayumi Murakami never expected that Miss Gentera would come to Seikisha, which was why she was very excited.

However, she never expected to trip like that. Her heart sank, although Muraoka Hiroshi did not say anything. Miss Gentera’s first impression of her was probably a negative one.

Kimura Kazuki looked at Ayumi Murakami from head to toe and noticed the tiredness and dark circles around her eyes, although she did put on makeup. It seemed like the little ghost had been bothering her for a while.

Chiba Shiori felt safe sitting next to Kimura Kazuki, so she stared straight at the little ghost. She realized that the little ghost was weird when she recalled the info she got from Kimura Kazuki.

Firstly, it was daytime, four in the afternoon, to be exact. And being late June, the weather was getting warmer. Sunlight was shining directly on the wraith from outside. It appeared unaffected, it was even showing its fangs at those in the room. It was obviously different from what Kimura Kazuki told her.

Perhaps this one is special. Thus it’s unaffected by sunlight? Chiba Shiori did not ask and sat quietly on the sofa instead.

Ayumi Murakami, who was sitting opposite of Chiba Shiyori, began by introducing herself before the two of them started talking casually instead of heading straight into the agreement. Ayumi Murakami was clearly attempting to cast away her clumsiness earlier.

Ayumi Murakami discussed the contract with a smile as well.

The reason they were chatting so smoothly was mainly because Muraoka Hiroshi was guiding them from the side. Ayumi Murakami could tell from his words that these two had a close relationship with him.

Indeed, Muraoka Hiroshi wanted to make friends with Kimura Kazuki. Most importantly, he knew that Seikisha was still a new company, so why did they chose him over other companies? It was definitely because they knew each other, and thus they decided to give Seikisha a chance. That was also why Muraoka Hiroshi had been lenient in the details of the contract.

Most importantly, he had read “Loading File of Tokyo,” written by Miss Gentera and her first mystery novel…

From just those two novels, he could see that Miss Gentera was very talented as a novelist. Most importantly, she was still young and beautiful! If they could promote the novel and rave about the beauty novelist as a gimmick, with the quality of the novel combined with Chiba Shiori’s looks, it would not be a mere simple one-two punch!

By showing her Seiksha’s sincerity, there would definitely be more chances for them to cooperate in the future. He hoped that she would think about Seikisha every time she thought of publishing her sensational light novels in the future.

Most importantly, the first anime by Seikisha, “The Sword Saga,” only needed to get recognition from viewers and the market. Their second one would be extremely important. If the second one turned out to be nowhere up to standard, Seikisha’s anime division would definitely fade away from the eyes of the viewers.

Seikisha would be successful if their second anime could give viewers the impression that those produced by them are of top quality.

Therefore, both of the parties were happy after an hour and a half of talking. Although Chiba Shiori was not exactly sure about the usual contracts in the industry, she knew that the one proposed by Seikisha was filled with sincerity. That was why she was fine about it, and Kimura Kazuki had no problems with it either. Of course, their discussion was just preliminary talk, and they had not yet signed the agreement. Chiba Shiori still needed legal advice from a lawyer in case she got screwed over by Seikisha.

After the discussion, Kimura Kazuki signaled Chiba Shiori.

Upon seeing that, she smiled elegantly, “Since we’re done with the discussion, can I take a look around Seikisha?”

“Of course.” Muraoka Hiroshi stood up, trying to suppress his excitement, “I’ll show you around.”

Chiba Shiori’s expression was a little awkward, “You can just ask Miss Murakami to show us around.”

Muraoka Hiroshi knew that he overreacted upon hearing that. Also, it seemed like Chiba Shiori had a closer relationship with Ayumi Murakami by letting her be the guide. Perhaps he could hire her as a writer in the future. He signaled Ayumi Murakami while he was deep in his thought.

Ayumi Murakami would never refuse a chance to show Chiba Shiori around Seikisha as she wished to talk about the follow-up for “Loading File of Tokyo”…

Kimura Kazuki followed behind silently like a bodyguard. Chiba Shiori knew exactly what he was thinking. They have spent a long time together, after all.

But Chiba Shiori did not rush in questioning her. She chatted with Ayumi Murakami as they were walking instead. Under Chiba Shiori’s deliberateness, they chatted all the way happily.

They were soon talking to each other like sisters. Realizing that, Chiba Shiori asked, “Murakami-neesan, is it tough being an editor? You don’t look so well, and you seem tired.”

Upon hearing that, Ayumi Murakami let out a sigh without suspecting anything, “It’s not really hard work since I’m the chief editor. The other editors have it rougher, but things have been strange lately.”

“Recently, I’ve been hearing some rustling noises in my room and some scratching in the next room at night. It’s costing my sleep.” Ayumi Murakami added frustratedly, “But it’s nothing really, I can just move out. However, I’ve been down on my luck recently. Remember when I tripped earlier? Actually, I’ve been tripping a lot lately. Also, my shoulders have been stiff, and I feel light-headed. I went for a check-up, and the doctor only told me to rest more.”

The three reached the manga editing room as they chattered away.
