The Jade Dragon Flag Competition had finally ended. Mr. Matsumura’s face was filled with joy the next day. There were deep dark circles under his eyes, indicating his lack of sleep the night before. He led his students and bid farewell to the students from other schools before heading back to their school.

Mizuki Sugawara and Tomoya Saito were reluctant to part ways with them.

Especially Tomoya Saito, he was shedding tears before he left, asking Kimura Kazuki to take good care of Katsuki. All the members of the society wanted to win the title of being a national champion because other than their personal fame, they could also contribute to their alma mater. The younger generation would look up to them when they talked about them in the future, many students would even want to go to their alma mater solely because of them. They felt good at the mere thought of it. 

Being the champion of the national competition was a glory that every high school student had been pursuing. How many students had sweat, shed tears, and bled for this championship? It was beyond count.

Therefore, when Kimura Kazuki came to receive commendation at the school hall, he smiled faintly when he saw the look of admiration and adoration on the face of the students seated below the stage. His sole purpose was to fulfill Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s obsessiveness, but Sakura Kyu High School was still a high school that he had to stay for three years, it was also his alma mater. On the other hand, Furuhashi Harashin was still pouring out words on the stage. Therefore, when Furuhashi Harashin stood in front of Kimura Kazuki and presented the medal to him with a smile, he looked at Kimura Kazuki receiving the medal with an emotionless face and went on saying, “In the Jade Dragon Flag National Competition, the Kendo Association had defeated all its opponents and achieved meritorious excellence under the leadership of Kimura Kazuki. Thus other than the commendation, the school decided to give an extra award of 1,000,000 yen to Kimura-san.”

Kimura Kazuki finally put on a smile on his face when he heard about it. One million yen. It will amount to 66,000 RMB. Pretty good.

He had earned a total of 10,000,000 yen during the whole course of the national competition and barely escaped from poverty a year after the time travel. Kimura Kazuki let out a sigh in his heart. It really hasn’t been easy.
