A day later, the emperor had already been notified of Minos’ return to Payton and authorized Gloria’s parents to take this young man to his home for lunch without delay.

“So nothing will happen between you and the princess, right?” Ruth’s eyes narrowed as she looked at him.

“You tried to get me into bed for months, Minos Stuart.” The queen of the Black Plain said this as she looked at him thoughtfully.

“Something similar happened to me…” Gloria nodded to Abby.

Minos was silent for a moment and said. “You are exaggerating. Everything happened naturally between us, so don’t think about the princess and me. We haven’t even met. Maybe I won’t like her…”
