In the Plaza of Honour, the bombing incident had almost been taken care of and the whole knight squad was now busy, handling the aftermath of the incidents.

With the help of the Dukedom’s Knight squads, the skirmish was quickly taken care of.

While the upper level of the Villain Society teleported, the remaining ones were just left as cannon fodder that was caught and slaughtered by the imperial knights.

Initially, the members of the Villain Society had an upper hand as they were using the common people and citizens as a shield and were overpowering the knights.

But the status quo didn’t last long with the entry of the shadow guards.

The shadow guards were highly specialised in assassins that were trained by the kingdom to carry out secret missions and were masters in hiding. They sneaked into the shadows, concealing their presence from the Villain Society and assassinated them quickly without batting an eye.

Seeing the fallout, many members of the Villain Society tried to escape but were caught near the defence skills.

Only those who were sufficient in hiding and those who have yet to expose themselves were able to get away quickly from the Plaza of Honour.

While the entire Plaza of Honour was in chaos, Lucas sneaked in and escaped from the Plaza of Honour before the situation became worse.

He followed the path marked on the map and took a right turn into the small alleyway, appearing in a rundown street.

He followed the sewage which led to the slums, on the outer side of the Capital.

Standing before an old ragged shop that seems too many years old, Lucas took a deep breath.

He pushed the door open and walked inside.

The interior was dark and creepy which made him shudder. He can feel the dreary feeling just from entering.

The only light that made this place seem to be humane was the slanting rays from the broken window.

Dusty bottles lined up in the derelict shop, their brilliant blues and green colours seem to be fading leaving behind a grey-white layer.

Still, the rum and beers in the place seemed to be drinkable.

An old man who was sitting at the counter narrowed his eyes as looked at the newcomer.

He gazed at him trying to find out his purpose, from his gentle movements.

Lucas walked onto the counter and tapped on it three times and spoke.

“Society is not for those hypocrites.”

The man frowned and looked at the visitor from head to down. His appearance was that of a teen which made one doubt whether he is in this shady business or not.

Though he was wearing a cloak, one can see that the person was just a teenage boy.

‘Maybe because of his small age that makes it hard to suspect him, he has got the job.’The man thought as he observed the boy’s behaviour carefully

“Follow me.” The man spoke and led him behind the counter.

The man led Lucas into the backyard of the shop. The man opened the gloves, he was wearing, his hand were rough and had a small tattoo of basilisks on them and placed it on the wall.

The tattoo of the basilisks glowed in his hand and a magic circuit appeared on the wall and glowed brightly.

Rumble…Rumble

The wall started to separate and a small entrance appeared as the wall bifurcated.

The entrance of the passage had stairs that lead down to the basement which seems to be a very important place.

The old man pulled his hand and asked”Lad, tell me one thing, What happens in the Plaza of Honour?”

“Did we succeed?” The man turned his head but frowned seeing the lad before he disappeared.

Then he heard a soft, fierce voice and he felt someone’s presence crawling out from his back.

“Yes, we succeeded.”

Slash.

Lucas appeared behind the man’s back and pulling his dagger cut his throat, sneakily as an assassin and the man died without making any sound.

“Yeah, we succeeded in stopping your plans,” Lucas spoke as he pulled the corpse into his dimensional space.

“The man was just an ordinary 1-Star warrior and was on his last leg but the ones coming here would be much stronger than him,” Lucas muttered.

“I have to quickly make the preparations before they reach,” Lucas smirked as he pulled out the pouch from his dimensional space.

He opened up and took out a white-bluish coloured powder from it and dispersed it into the air after finishing his preparation.

He took out a test tube and drank the potion in it.

A bunch of people ran through the street as if they were running from death.

Their images blurred and they passed through the people like gusts of wind. Ordinary people were unable to spot them or react to their presence, hiding behind the alley, they entered the slum.

They reached near the shop under which there was the base of the Villain Society.

Panting heavily being out of breath, they quickly entered the shop.

On entering, they were surprised to see that the old man who was in charge of this place was absent.

“What hell where did the old rack go?” A man covered in a cloak spoke in an annoyed tone.

“Did someone find our base?” Another man spoke with a worried tone.

His words invoked fear in the other people behind him.

“Don’t talk nonsense.” Another man spoke with a stern, authoritative voice who seemed to be their leader and walked forward.

The people before made way for him, letting him pass first.

“Let’s enter the base and we will escape from the other side.” The man spoke and his gaze scanned around the rundown shop, looking for any sign of anomaly or sign of fighting.

After he walked away, a man behind him spoke, “The leader seemed to be in a bad mood.”

“Yeah, I noticed it. Maybe because he wasn’t able to kill to his heart’s content. You know, he is quite a sadist and likes to rip off the arms, limbs and organs.”

“Now, you are wrong ripping off is just the starter, torturing others to kill their lives is what excites him.” Another man whispered.

The gang whispered among themselves.

The leader halted his steps, on hearing their words and turned back.

Glancing at them with a frightening gaze, he said with a smile, “Since I didn’t get to enjoy today, do you mind becoming my tool for enjoyment?”

His words sent a chill down the spine of his game members.

Of his 30 man gang members, 14 were killed or caught and only these 16 were able to get back safely.

“Next time, I will surely feast on those bloody bastards.” The leader spoke as licked his lips.

He opened the door to the basement and walked down the stairs in the passage.

The inside was pitch dark. A man walked down the stairs and lit up the torches.

The underground was a large spacious hallway with a big room with a huge long table in the middle and many doors leading to the many different multipurpose rooms.

This was one of their Secret hideouts and its place of gathering, mostly for the new member who joined the Villain Society.

A man walked inside, holding a fire torch and was about to light the fire torch at the centre of the room when suddenly a cold red light flashed by his neck.

The light torch fell to the ground with a thud.

Blood spurted out, splashing on the people who were walking behind him.

A man’s head flew into the air and fell to the ground. He had an astonished expression on his face and his head rolled down reaching the foot of the table.

Lucas’s figure suddenly appeared which frightened the member of the Villain Society.

The ones in the front stumbled and fell on their back on seeing the sudden emergence of a boy out of the darkness which caught them unprepared.

“Who…Who are you?”One of the men asked in a frightened voice.

” I am your death, the one who’s gonna kill you,” Lucas spoke as his eyes flashed in coldness as he started the fifteen remaining people.

Each of them flinched a little on hearing the boy’s words.

If it was any other situation, they might laugh it off as a joke but seeing one of their teammate’s heads already rolling on the floor, they were too frightened to take the boy’s words as a joke.

“Haha hahaha.” A burst of loud sinister laughter resounded in the place like that of a metal stretching sound.

Everyone looked back to see their leader laughing madly and who spoke in a weary tone” Here, I was depressed from not being able to play to my heart’s content but you have to invade the place today.”

“Hahahahah.”

“Today, I will make sure to break you in all possible ways.”He gave a sadistic smile.

A killing intent burst forth from Lucas and his eyes became dark.

There were two reasons Lucas came here.

First to get an artifact.

Second, to kill his guy at all cost, moreover, this guy was the one who had the artifact he wanted.

That’s what his goal was before but after his sudden flash of memories, he is obsessed with killing this guy.

If going by his memory or original timeline, this asshole had a sadistic personality and had a fetish for ripping the arms of children and adults.

In the bombing incident, he ripped people’s arms and limbs and lead them to die by being crushed by the crowd who stepped on them.

In one of the scenes, he ripped off a child’s arm before his own eyes.

At that time, Lucas was weak and his future self was still on a 1-Star stage, he was scared out of his wits by this guy.

Moreover, that guy is a 5-Star warrior so even after risking his life, he wasn’t able to save the innocent lives who were slaughtered before his very own eyes.

But in this life, it was going to be different. Today, even if he is a 6-Star warrior, he is going to die, moreover, he will die a gruesome death.

A horrible death and he’s gonna make sure of it.

A man unsheathed his sword and ran toward Lucas and slashed his sword.

Lucas smirked as he saw the sword coming toward him.

A red glow flew past the man and a hand flew back and fell on the ground with a small thud which was still holding the sword.

“Argggggggg.” The man shrieked and rolled on the ground holding his shoulder, below which everything was missing.

“How…How?” He yelled as his face became pale. He was shocked that he was unable to react to the boy’s speed.

The boy was just a 3-Star and so was he but the speed of the boy drawing his sword was almost invisible to his eyes.
