Author’s Note: Unedited Chapter

“Stop saying that,” The man berated while the elevator took them down.

The two odd personalities arrived outside the building in no time and found themselves in a street of sorts.

A couple of Hover cars were were lined in front with other strange looking people sitting within and waiting around.

The instant they spotted the two figures, they all donned looks of respects.

“Sir Gigahard,”

“Miss Exon,”

They voiced out with respectful tones as the man and woman arrived before one of the hover cars.

“We’ve been waiting and even went in to check but we couldn’t find you anywhere,” One of them said as he arrived before Miss Excon, hinting at their disappearance.

“We had something to attend to. Let’s move now so we can acquire the item,” Miss Excon responded before getting into one of the hover cars.

Sorry Gigahard followed right after her and got into that hover car as well.

The others got into the rest and they zoomed out of the place. Having the excorts following them was proof that these two were truly ranked high within the Genxodus.

They seemed to be heading somewhere outside the city from the looks of things. It was still around 5am.

After about thirty minutes they were moving along a part that led to the outskirts of Aribia city. Aribia city was a bit distant from the next but there was a long path in between an area filled with Mixedbreeds.

The hovercar soon took a turning that led straight into the mixedbreeds region.

Zhiiìiinnnnn~

A protective layer of energy field was activated from within the hover cars which surrounded their vehicles as they transvered through this area.

Minutes later, they arrived deep within a forestry area covered in fog. At this point they stopped.

Zhhiiissshhhhhhnnn~

The ground began quaking and proceeded to cave in after a few seconds. A path was revealed to them after it caved in which led to the entry point of a building.

They all moved forward and soon arrived within the vicinity of a large underground building.

“We’re here,” One of them voiced out.

Upon getting out of the hover car, Sir Gigahard and Miss Excon could see that the excorts had activated their suits.

They were now clad in the whitish technological looking mech suits, that had the Genxodus symbol on it.

There was no doubt that these were Genxodus members now.

Sir Gigahard and Miss Excon gave each other a brief glance before proceeding to walk into the building.

“Kazeem what is this?” Sir Gigahard voiced out with a tone of anguish.

“It is business my friends come on,” Kazeem who happened to have a square shaped face and curled green hair responded.

“You agreed to sell it to us the moment you acquired it! What is with the turn of events?” Miss Excon also showed an expression of disgust as she inquired.

“I am just giving the product its chance to truly shine so its value can be appreciated,” Kazeem smiled as he replied.

“Should I kill him?” One of the Genxodus members in suit said while charging up energy within the palm of his mech suit.

“You can’t. I already have precautions in place but if you choose to try the Genxodus will lose every opportunity of trying to acquire the Elfrit machine,” Kazeem said while moving around the study with a joyous expression.

“Don’t,” Miss Excon quickly stopped the Genxodus member while trying to calm down.

“When does the auction start?” Miss Excon inquired.

“In a couple of minutes. The underground big shots from far and wide have been informed about it so they will be here soon,” Kazeem replied.

“Tch, you deceived us Kazeem,” Sir Gigahard stated.

“It’s just business my friend… business,” Kazeem said once more before walking out of the study.

“Looks like we have no choice but to attend the auction so we can get the Elfrit machine,” Sir Gigahard stated.

Miss Excon nodded before turning to one of the Genxodus members.

“Inform the higher ups,” She commanded.

It turned out the device they had come for which was supposed to be sold directly to them, was now up for a private auction which their seller was just informing them about.

This was an unexpected predicament but nevertheless they had to attend the auction and bid the highest if they wanted to make sure they acquired the device.

About thirty minutes later, a couple of people could be seen sitted in what looked like a large hall.

They had had a kind of powerful and authoritative aura around them which made the entire hall feel suffocated.

“You’re selling to these miscreants too?” A man in a military like outfit voiced out from up front after sighting the Genxodus members.

“Sir Darwin remember this is an underground auction. Only business matters here not identity,” Kazeem responded from the podium up front.

“They’re against Mixedbloods and their plan is to destroy us all! You’re a mixedblood how can you be okay with selling to them?” Another woman voiced out from the west side of the hall.

“Mrs Chandler, It is business. I don’t care about who dies or live so long as I get profit. Now that we have put this aside, can we start the auction?” Kazeem stated with a smile.

Two assistants could be seen pushing a floating crate from behind the curtains after Kazeem finished speaking.

‘As expected, they are truly people who don’t care about what the Genxodus organisation goal is… they only wish to profit,” Sir Gigahard thought.

The auction finally began around 7am…

“I’m here for Officer Crimson. The commanders asked me to fetch him,” An MBO officer voiced out after arriving in front of Gustav’s squad accommodation area.

“He is currently busy with meditation and asks not to be disturbed,” Glade responded to the officer before anyone else could.

“It is really imperative he comes now because it is in relation with the operation tomorrow,” The officer stated with a tone of urgency.

“He can’t. He said not to be disturbed till…” Before Glade could complete her sentence, Aildris appeared from within the accommodation building.

“Hold on,” He voiced out.

Falco and Angy also approached the officer alongside him.

“Can we go in his stead?” Aildris questioned.

“I don’t think so. The commanders asked me to get the leader,” The officer stated.

“I am the second in command so due to his unavailability, I’ll have to go in his stead,” Aildris responded.

The officer had a look of contemplation for a bit before finally buckling.

“Alright. Just you then,” He answered.

Aildris nodded before turning to the others and giving them a meaningful look.

The others nodded as well before Aildris proceeded to follow the officer away.

A few minutes Later they stood within the main command room with the three commanders standing besides the largest projection screen.

This screen displayed the happenings within Aribia City and there were still a couple others around the place.

“What did you say?” Officer Colt questioned with a disgruntled expression.

“Our leader infiltrated Aribia City and has uncovered vital information he asked me to pass across to you three,” Aildris repeated.

“What!? That little…” Officer Colt had a look of disapproval on his face as he voiced out.

“Calm down officer Colt,” Officer Darmark voiced out.

“Officer Crimson has disobeyed direct instructions and infiltrated the city without permission even after being warned multiple times not to step out of line. This is insubordination!” Officer Colt stated with a strong tone.

“I agree, he should be taken off this operation and sent back to base with his team immediately,” Officer Shuri voiced out as well.

“Will you two relax first? At least let us find out what vital information Officer Crimson uncovered before making any decisions,” Officer Darmark stated with a logical tone.

“What could that disrespectful and insubordinate officer have uncovered that would be useful to the operation. I suggest we take them off the operation immediately,” Officer Colt voiced out.

-“Aildris, inform them that what I uncovered will lead the operation to paramount failure if it is not dealt with. There are zero chances of the forces on ground winning against the Genxodus if this is not dealt with which would lead them to go back into hiding,”

The commanders turned to stare at Aildris as they heard him play a recording of Gustav’s voice.

“What? It has the potential of ruining the operation? What a bluff!” Officer Colt voiced out once more.

“It does,” Aildris confirmed.

“The Genxodus would win and go further into hiding before any counter attack could be put into place. This will make things even more difficult if we wanted to find them next time,” Aildris added.

“We can’t believe a word you say until we hear what about what he uncovered,” Officer Shuri disclosed.

“I am not allowed to reveal anything till you three accept a request first,” Aildris responded.

“What request?” Officer Colt questioned.
