Ten Million Psychopath Actor chapter 4

4. What Happens When Real Killers Play Killers (1)

‘In the Name of the Devil’ begins with the murder of Lee Seok-jae’s wife, who was discharged as a sergeant of the 707th Special Warfare Brigade.

Lee Seok-jae vowed revenge and set out to find the murderer himself, and in the process, the case reached its climax as the three demons, who had no connection at all, became entangled for their own reasons.

The three demons were similar in that they were willing to kill, but they had different tendencies.

The first demonic character, Kyu-Nam Ahn, was the main suspect in the 2005 GP shooting, but was acquitted of the charges when the Ministry of National Defense announced that North Korea was responsible.

However, he actually did it, and he is clever enough to have already expected that the Ministry of Defense would cover his case.

Currently, he works to exterminate wild boars with the Harmful Birds and Rescue Foundation, but at night he makes homemade firearms and sells them to criminal organizations.

The second devil character, Jeong Won-geun, is crazy about the murder itself and considers himself an artist. He is a person who enjoys murder itself like a game to the extent of looking for papers on various forensic techniques.

It likes to see the face of its victim in pain and always enjoys turning the victim around and attacking them from the front.

The third devil, Cha Ki-pyo, is the leader of the North Gate faction, a gangster in the Suwon area, who does not hesitate to commit any kind of cruelty for the sake of interests and money.

In particular, he enjoys showing his subordinates cruelty, such as killing chickens to leave no traces and grinding them into a chicken feed blender, or throwing them as food to fierce dogs starved for a week.

Among them, the role Kyu-ha auditioned for was Jung Won-geun.

***

On the day of the audition for ‘In the Name of the Devil’.

Many people came and went to the 3rd floor of the film production company ‘Nice Maker’ building due to the audition that took place from the morning.

In the conference room where the audition was taking place, three judges were talking with a tired look.

The man with a full beard on the far right was Ko Yo-han, the director of ‘In the Name of the Devil’, Eun-jung Ahn, general manager of the film production company in the middle, and Chung Eui-pyo, the CEO of the investment company, on the left.

The calm director shook his head with a face full of trouble.

“Most of the roles have already been decided, but there is no one who fits the role of Jeong Won-geun.”

“Iknow, right. No one has an impact.”

Many actors tried to play the role of Jung Won-geun, but there was no one who really liked it.

“This is already the last applicant. Let’s see… Oh? It belongs to Stellar Entertainment. My name is Song Gyu-ha… You recently appeared in Blood Palace.”

“The Palace of Blood? I saw that three times, but I didn’t see this face?”

“It’s a souchil station… Ah! That assassin!? Was that person this person? I don’t know if he’s the same person as you.”

“I’ll ask you to come in first.”

Ahn Eun-jung shouted at the staff who was waiting.

“Ask the next person to come in!”

After a while, the door opened and Kyu-ha came in, dressed in jeans and a neat white tee.

“hello. I ask you to sing.”

The appearance of Kyu-Ha, who came into the eyes of Director Ahn Eun-Jeong, was indeed ordinary itself.

I was feeling disappointed because I thought that an ordinary actor should have a different aura from the general public.

However, what was impressive was his calm expression, which did not show any nervousness at all, unlike the other participants.

“Nice to meet you. Gyuha Song Mr. I didn’t even think that he was the person who played the role of Soo-chil, the archer of the Blood Sea, but I’m surprised. Can you show me the performance you prepared?”

“Yeah. Then we will begin.”

And Kyu-ha made eye contact with each judge and closed his eyes.

By the time the judges were embarrassed by Kyu-ha who hadn’t said anything for 5 seconds, Kyu-ha’s eyes finally opened.

Gyu-ha’s eyes, which seemed somewhat emotionless, were nowhere to be found.

creepy

Gyuha, smiling crookedly with eyes full of madness and murder, glared at the judges.

***

“All we have prepared is here. thank you.”

silence.

Would it be an illusion if many auditionees felt that the heat that had built up as they came and went disappeared and only a cool energy was lingering around them?

The three judges couldn’t even look into Kyuha’s eyes after the free performance.

“Was it too much…?”

I thought I had to do it right, so I expressed the life I had in my body during my days as a ghost, without adding or subtracting, but it seemed like it was too much.

Ahn Eun-jung, who managed to control her emotions, spoke in a trembling voice.

“Thank you for your effort. texture···. Results will be notified later.”

“Yeah. I hope there will be good results.”

After Kyuha leaves

“Hey guys, what did we just see?”

“No, what kind of eyes…”

“There is nothing more to see. The role of Jung Won-geun will be played by that friend! No, you must be that friend!”

Director Ahn Eun-jeong just remembered Kyu-ha’s acting.

When Kyu-ha’s eyes met, it was Ahn Eun-jeong, her downy hair stood on end, cold sweat broke out on her back, and her head went blank.

And she instinctively felt it.

‘I could really die from that person.’

‘You really have an idea to kill us.’

Ahn Eun-jung has seen many actors while working as a general manager at a film production company, but I can confidently say that this was her first experience.

I have admired and applauded watching realistic acting, but this was the first time I was overwhelmed by acting.

“No, is the acting right…?”

As a result, all three judges unanimously agreed to cast Song Kyu-ha for the role of Jeong Won-geun, and news of Kyu-ha’s casting acceptance was delivered to Stella Entertainment.

Stellar Entertainment Breakout Room

“What the hell did you do at the audition, Gyuha? This is the first time Director Ahn has responded like that.”

Han Jeong-hee, who has a good relationship with Ahn Eun-jung, the general manager of Nice Makers, was surprised to see Ahn Eun-jung, who can be said to be a cold and intelligent career woman, announcing the news of Song Kyu-ha’s casting with a high-pitched voice.

Kyuha said with a calm smile.

“I just did my best.”

“Anyway, I didn’t expect to be cast right away at the first audition, but as expected, I had eyes to see. They say the crank-in is in three months, so I think I can prepare while familiarizing myself with the script until then.”

“all right.”

At that moment, the conference room door opened with a knock and a large man entered.

“Bong-gu, are you here? hello This is Lee Bong-goo, who will take over as Kyu-ha’s manager from now on.”

Lee Bong-goo was taller than 180 and had a bear-like build, but had a naive face.

“hello! This is Lee Bong-goo, who will be in charge of the manager. I wish you well!”

“Yes, please take care of me.”

“Then talk to the two of you. I’ll go see another job.”

Han Jeong-hee left, leaving only Bong-gu and Kyu-ha in the meeting room.

Lee Bong-gu was a bit hesitant at first and asked Kyu-ha a lot of questions, but later he got excited and started talking about this and that.

Kyuha also felt the need to get to know her manager Bong-gu a little more as she has to keep hanging out with her from now on.

“Why don’t we stop doing this and talk over pork belly and a glass of soju?”

“Yeah!? ah! I like it. good!”

***

sizzle

Thick samgyeopsal came up on the hot plate with the lid of the pot and was being grilled to a golden brown color, and Gyuha and Bonggu filled each other’s glasses.

“I am now 23 years old after being discharged from the military. Please speak at ease, brother.”

Bong-gu told his story with twinkling eyes.

He said that he had longed for a job as a manager from the beginning, and even before he went to the army, he worked part-time at various entertainment companies to develop his dream, and he joined Stellar Entertainment as soon as he was discharged.

“Oh my brother, you talked too much about me. I want to hear from you too.”

When the spirits of alcohol rose to a certain extent and the atmosphere matured, Kyu-ha calmly began to tell his story.

From being an orphan at a young age to being adopted and entering a temple, to working as a cow and then becoming an actor.

Bong-gu forgot about flipping the meat for a moment and listened intently to the story, then looked at Kyu-ha with emotion and respect.

“Your brother is really great. If it were me, I would have been crooked and resentful of the world… I respect you as a person to person. I will take good care of you from now on.”

“What about Bopil? Anyway, I’ll take good care of you from now on.”

After getting to know each other a little more, Kyu-ha and Bong-gu drank their glasses until the shop closed and went home.

Clive Hotel is the closest 4-star hotel to the set of ‘In the Name of the Devil’.

Today, as the script reading schedule for ‘In the Name of the Devil’ is scheduled at the Clive Hotel’s Sapphire Hall, the hotel staff have been busy since morning.

After the signposts and locations of each role were decided, the director Go Yo-Yo, the lead actor Cha Gyeong-Seok, and the rest of the actors entered in turn.

Kyu-ha, who arrived at the scene of the script reading in time, took a seat at the signpost with [Jung Won-geun (Song Kyu-ha)] written on it.

Most of them were pros with quite a bit of acting experience, so there was no awkwardness on set, but for some reason there was a sense of tension.

It was also because the director, Go Yo-han, was famous as a tiger director in Chungmuro because of his sensitive and fiery personality when he directed his previous film, ‘Trigger’.

As a result, most of the actors were recognized for their acting skills to some extent, but I couldn’t help but be nervous in front of the reputation of Chungmuro’s tiger director.

“Hey, how are you? I am Ko Yo-won, the director who will be directing this ‘In the Name of the Devil’.”

Starting with the quiet director, they had time to introduce their roles and brief self-introductions in turn, and the full-scale script reading began.

Then came the turn of Kyuha’s script reading.

[In the name of the devil]

Lee Seok-jae, who has finally been able to connect with Jung Won-geun, whom he has been following for months, calms down his excitement as much as possible and asks in a low voice.

“Did you kill me…?”

“Who are you? I dialed the wrong number.”

“I ask you again. Have you ever killed a woman in her 40s in Cheoin-gu, Yongin last winter?”

“Um… well… maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t… Ah! Is that lady talking… giggle”

“Why did you do that… Why the hell! why!!!?”

“Well… I was just passing by, but the lady’s expression looked so happy that I stopped… sorry.”

“I will definitely find you and tear you to death…”

At that time, the momentum of Jeong Won-geun, who was talking to Seok-jae as if he was teasing him, changes.

“Fuck! you kill me? Ki-kick crazy bastard! can you find me come anytime Attacking a beast on the subject of prey… That must be fun too! If you giggle, I’ll peel off the skin on your face first.”

***

Actor Cha Kyung-seok, who has been acting for 30 years this year, was a true actor who completed his own filmography through numerous works.

Cha Kyung-seok, an actor with a wide spectrum from a heartbreaking Mel to a cruel villain and comic acting, had an unfamiliar experience of being overwhelmed by the momentum of a new actor he saw for the first time today.

Fortunately, the lines continued well with the acting skills he had cultivated over the years, but the sweat on his forehead seemed to represent his current state of mind.

When Kyu-ha, who played the role of Won-geun Jeong, recited the first line, Gyeong-seok Cha felt a chill run down his spine.

The tone of his voice, which was soft but normal when he said hello earlier, changed to a rough and unpleasant tone as soon as he said his lines.

And when I hit the line at the point where the momentum changes momentarily, I thought it was ‘terrifying’ to the point that I thought I was going to kill myself.

Perhaps this was not his own idea.

All the actors in the reading scene were overwhelmed by Song Kyu-ha’s momentum and were busy glancing at him.

He had done numerous script readings, but this was his first experience.

“Thank you for your effort!”

clap clap clap

After the script reading, everyone said goodbye and left.

Cha Kyung-seok approached Kyu-ha and asked for a handshake.

“Did you tell me to sing? Where did you learn to act?”

“Thank you for your hard work, senior. I never formally learned it, I just studied the script diligently.”

“yes? Anyway, I’m looking forward to filming in the future! See you on set.”

Cha Gyeong-seok became very interested in Song Kyu-ha, his junior.

For some reason, it was because I had an intuition that a lot of very interesting things would happen in this work.
