Returnee’s Life Report – Chapter 76 Bahasa Indonesia

76

There was a precision rifle known as an AW50, whose firing range was 1.5km. The gun we got was a GAT AW50, the modified version of the AW50. It was specialized for use in the gates.

Like Jeong Gi-Hoon mentioned, rifles were not a preferred weapon for Hunters. The main reason for this was due to its bullet, which was not as powerful as a normal gun. To make these bullets, they needed to create them with an aura, which proved to be a difficult task.

Additionally, even if S-rated Hunters could use weapons well, it was hard to hunt S-rated monsters using a gun. It was more efficient to use a sword or lance, so the use of guns was very inefficient.

Guns were usually used outside of the gate, but I still offered Kim Yoo-Jeong a gun. Jeong Gi-Hoon did a great job of obtaining some guns for the gate.

“Let’s continue our discussion.”

“You mean the talk we had that night?”

“Yes. You want to kill the Godfather, right?”

Yoo-Jeong sighed. “I… honestly don’t know what to do. I always thought of killing him, but… he’s really still alive.”

Her hands were shaking, and I knew what she was feeling.

“You want to kill him, but you think it’s impossible?”

“…Yes.”

“Ho told me that he would kill the Godfather in a week, and the guy you want to kill has the power of an SS-rated Hunter. That’s why you think it’s impossible, am I correct?”

She nodded silently and lowered her head, her fists shaking. She had worked a lot, but the system did not even reward her properly.

I saw that her characteristics were unique. She was able to kill a monster, but the life energy that came from it went to her gateway, and that was why she had more aura. Compared to her rank, her aura was much more impressive.

To me, that was a given talent. Gateways were the device for collecting aura, and her aura was close to that of an S-rated Hunter’s. If she were in Valhalla, she would have become a named witch by now or a high-ranked wizard who could create her own tower.

I then asked Kim Yoo-Jeong.

“Why do you think it’s impossible?”

“…Huh?”

I sat next to her and lifted her head, seeing that her eyes were misty.

“I told you that your aura is as strong as an S-rated Hunter.”

“…You did.”

“What if you can use your whole aura to attack one specific enemy?”

I asked a question and immediately answered it for her. “You can cause great damage to the Godfather.”

“…Are you sure?”

“I’m certain.”

No matter how strong they are, SS-rated Hunters are still humans. But it is true that she wouldn’t be able to cause much damage to him now.

“I’ll help you this time.”

“…How?”

“I’ll lend you my aura. I’ll give you the exact amount of aura you need to blow your target’s head off, but remember that you must be the one who will use it.”

“……..”

“Also, that will be your only chance.”

I honestly wanted to give her more chances, but that was not possible.

“My brother also wants to kill him, and I’ve never seen him this furious. I can’t interfere with you both, so this is the best I can do. I’ll give you a chance.”

She nodded with determination.

To be honest, she wouldn’t even be able to scratch him now. What I was offering was quite generous, but it was undeniable that everything depended on her.

I stood up and grabbed the rifle. There were two things I needed to do. The first was to enhance this gun. To endure a huge amount of power, the gun must have a higher level of durability. I could do this for her now.

The second was to see if she could use it well. This rifle was quite heavy, weighing more than forty kilograms.

It seemed fine, so I passed it to Yoo-Jeong.

“We need to check your sniping skills.”

“Where?”

“In the gate we’re entering. Let’s hunt the SS-rated monster down.”

The best way to learn, after all, was through actual battle.

“Let’s go.”

Ash didn’t usually show his emotions. He had learned that through his various experiences. He was an agent of the CIA for more than ten years, and he even learned a skill called ‘Poker Face,’ which was now S-rated.

However, he had expressed a lot of emotions in front of Lee Hwan. That was intentional and part of his plan because he needed to know more about the man.

Was Lee Hwan an awakener?

This man had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but he had been able to smash all the SS-rated gates on Earth.

No one dared to ask him questions since they wanted to form a good relationship with his brother, but everyone doubted his power.

That was why Ash purposely handed the document written in his own language. He could easily have given Lee Hwan a translated document, but this was done on purpose.

That way, he would be able to check something.

Despite his incredible power, he was with Yoo-Jeong, the teleport user. With his brother’s money, he could have learned that skill, but he was still accompanied by a D-rated teleporter. It was more probable that he did not possess the teleport skill.

So how about translation skills?

Ash noticed that Lee Hwan did not learn it at all.

Awakeners could check if the person they were looking at was an awakener or not. Hwan was surely not awakened.

Did he even learn the skill? America must know that. It needed to be clear so that they could decide whether or not to trust this person. They should remove all doubt against him, at least.

However, surprisingly, Hwan explained everything.

“You were from another world?”

“I lived there for ten years. Do you know what my chief complaint is?”

“If I ask, would you answer it for me?”

“It’s simple. The food.”

It was Kimchi and barbeque.

Ash thought that these two dishes didn’t really go well together, but he liked it.

What was important was that he now knew the reason Lee Hwan was so strong. He learned everything through his experiences there.

Ash looked at Kim Yoo-Jeong standing next to Hwan. She was surprised by Hwan’s bold action of explaining everything as well.

“There’s no need to hide, and I don’t regret what I did there. I met a lot of good people there; it would be rude of me to hide them from the world.”

As usual, Lee Hwan never hid his past. He just did not mention it because no one asked him about it. A question about his past would always get an answer from Hwan.

“Oh…”

Ash exclaimed before smiling. He had doubted Lee Hwan at first.

He had done his research on the man, but it was no use. He should have met him in person sooner to see how confident and strong he is. Everyone has secrets and it requires a lot of courage to open that up, especially to strangers. Hwan didn’t need that courage; he was just being himself.

Also, he liked the fact that Hwan didn’t regret his life in another world. That was a good attitude.

Ash thought that he should grow up more. Lee Hwan had asked him to become a friend, and Ash wanted to do that. If someone inspired you, then you should be friends with him. That was Ash’s lifestyle. He stood up and apologized.

“I’m truly sorry, and thank you for teaching me a lesson.”

Lee Hwan was wondering the reason for his sudden words. Did he eat something bad?

“What’s wrong with you? That was cringy.”

“…It’s nothing. Also, I’ll prepare the best rewards for you.”

At this, Lee Hwan nodded and asked, “Isn’t Bermuda the region where anything can happen?”

“It’s the mysterious place that people can’t seem to figure out.”

“How do we get there? Do we teleport?”

Ash smiled. “No need to worry about that. I’ll take you there by helicopter.”

Things got settled, and Hwan and Yoo-Jeong headed to the Bermuda region.

Before they departed, Ash added, “I also have some information for you. Visit me after clearing the gate, and I’ll give it to you.”

We climbed on board the helicopter and headed to the Bermuda region.

When we got there, the first thing I noticed was that the atmosphere was quite mysterious. I turned my head to see that Yoo-Jeong’s eyes were closed.

Was she nauseous?

As if she had noticed my look, she opened her eyes. Her hands were shaking.

“Do you have acrophobia?”

“…No.”

“Then why are you shaking like that?”

Kim Yoo-Jeong smiled awkwardly. I stroked her hair and she closed her eyes again. But…

“I think you should open your eyes. We’re here.”

Following my order, she opened her eyes.

We looked down at the turbulent water to see a large, black gate on the island. I could hear the pilot’s voice over the roar of the helicopter.

“Hey, sir.”

I turned my head to look at him. The pilot raised both of his hands.

“God bless you.”

I nodded at him with a smile before jumping down with Kim Yoo-Jeong.

I wanted to finish this job as quickly as possible.
