Returnee’s Life Report – Chapter 22 Bahasa Indonesia

22

No one could stop Park Jeong-Nam.

Even if he misbehaved in class, all that his teachers could do was glance at him for a bit. That was it; they could not stop him. His parents simply had too much power. No one dared to fight back, except for Mr. Gu Kyeong-Hoi, the teacher who was sent to the hospital.

Mr. Gu became a clear example to everyone. If someone dared to fight back, then that person would inevitably end up like Mr. Gu.

Jeong-Nam was the tyrant of the school. Even the chairman could not say anything to him. However, Hwan knew that this type of character usually acted like a sheep when he encountered a person who was much stronger than him. Or else he dies.

“Are you Park Jeong-Nam?”

As an unfamiliar voice suddenly rang out, the teacher, the girl, and the other students turned their heads. There was a stranger standing next to Jeong-Nam. He was about six feet and two inches tall. Although nobody knew him, his face was strangely familiar; he seemed to resemble someone. How did he manage to come inside the classroom without anyone noticing? No one heard the door opening. But more importantly…

“Did you just call me?”

That was enough reason for the man to attack. His hands quickly struck Jeong-Nam.

Jeong-Nam tried to defend himself, but he could not. The man grabbed his head, then with a loud crack, the glass of the window shattered. The man had thrown Jeong-Nam straight out the window. Everyone was shocked. They were on the fifth floor, but he just threw him out anyway.

Without saying anything, the man followed Jeong-Nam, jumping out the window and landing safely on the ground. There was no sound of shock that came from him. In contrast, Jeong-Nam was moaning. As an awakener, he was able to survive the fall, but he had still taken a lot of damage.

What was happening? What kind of fucking guy was he?

Jeong-Nam wanted to ask, but he could not even open his mouth. The man kicked his face violently, and he could not move to defend himself.

He was in so much pain, but that was not all. He opened his eyes and found that he could not see through his left eye. Immediately, he knew that he had lost that eye.

“@%##^$^$^%&$%^&!!!!”

Jeong Gi-Hoon’s face was frozen. As he entered Ga-On High School, his conversation with Lee Hwan echoed inside his mind.

“Good and evil. Don’t you think it’s a questionable topic?”

Gi-Hoon didn’t know how to answer, so he just chose to be silent.

“The world believes that there are such things as good and evil. Yet, in reality, it is hard to divide them clearly. Those who are considered good can always be considered as evil to the other side.”

Even as they walked, Hwan continued to talk about his faith and philosophy. He was talking to Gi-Hoon informally, but that was very natural from him.

“I don’t intend to talk about people’s values. I know it’s not right to question one’s belief. Besides, it’s also ridiculous to discuss whether one is right or wrong. Everyone has their set of values, and their actions come from those values.”

One seemed smart, and one seemed foolish. That would depend on a person’s view, and that was how the world was.

How could only wise men exist in the world? That was literally impossible.

“Meanwhile, think of the supreme being intervening in human’s rights or wrongs.”

Hwan stopped in his tracks and turned his head. His eyes met with Jeong Gi-Hoon’s. Gi-Hoon, to be honest, thought that Hwan’s glare was paralyzing.

“How dreadful is that? Such an important thing is decided by someone who is watching from above.”

“…”

“That was why I wanted to keep quiet. I never wanted to intervene. It was the same in Valhalla. I didn’t want to become an emperor, so I let the people there have their own rights to live like ordinary people. I was never the emperor.”

“…”

“I had wanted to keep that lifestyle on Earth, I never intended to intervene… But that fucker gave me no choice.”

That definitely was a philosophy. A philosophy of those who ruled over others.

Jeong Gi-Hoon knew that it was disgusting when an existence like the supreme being interfered with his life. That would eventually lead to him becoming a toy of the supreme being.

Jeong Gi-Hoon turned to him and asked, “How far will you go?”

Lee Hwan did not answer. He continued walking as if he was already done with the conversation.

Jeong Gi-Hoon watched his retreating back and thought that this man would never change his thoughts. However, what if someone made that happen? The opponent’s side also had power that was hard to fight with.

As a whole, the man was very curious about the future Hwan would make.

I had experienced a lot of cases in Valhalla. I had mentioned it a few times already, but because of Valhalla’s environment, I killed a lot of people. However, I didn’t just kill anyone willy-nilly. I did have a set of rules for it.

One of them was not to kill children. To be more specific, I did not kill children who were being used by someone else. Unless they held the weapons of their own volition, if they told me that it was just an order from someone, I spared their lives. Even now, that rule was still valid.

But the important thing is that this is not a child. He did his actions with evil purpose and intent.

Without any hesitation, I blew up his left eye. He screamed, and his body shook violently. Without saying anything, I approached him and held him up by the collar. Jeong-Nam was about three inches taller than me, so it was an appropriate height. With gathered aura on my foot, I stomped on the ground, making a patch of ground rise up like a dirt wall. I am not a mage, but I do know how to cast simple magic. This was similar to a spell known as ‘stone wall,’ which literally creates a stone wall from the ground.

I leaned his body against the wall I summoned. Then, with my right fist, I punched him directly in the stomach. I did it again and again. It was a simple attack; I rained punches on him until he fell unconscious.

When he passed out, I woke him up with another punch. I repeated this process until he was injured heavily.

After a while, he tried to raise his hand, but he was barely able to do it. A thin wisp of black smoke surrounded his fist. That was the aura I had sensed in the hospital room. It was similar to the magic that the dark mages from Valhalla use.

I grabbed his barely moving arm and shot my aura to him. As I used my power, his skill, as well as his arm, collapsed. He was not even able to scream. His skin was red and, because of all the damage he received, covered with blood.

Suddenly, I heard someone shouting. “Stop that right now!”

I turned around and couldn’t help but laugh. What an amazing coincidence.

Yoo Ee-Na was there as well. She was glancing at me with a confused expression behind a big, burly man.

ROKHA

Republic of Korea Hunter Army

That was the name of the team Ee-Na was in. It was part of their job to resolve the problems that Hunters created. After all, only Hunters could resolve problems caused by other Hunters.

They had received a report that a man was assaulting Park Jeong-Nam, who was the son of Park Soo-Ho, one of the most powerful members of Hunter authority.

However, when they got to the gruesome scene, it was difficult to classify it as an assault. It was more like attempted murder. Even more than that, to be honest.

That was why Ee-Na and her team were there. The man turned around, and she got a good look at his face.

Lee Hwan.

She was confused; she didn’t know why he was assaulting Jeong-Nam. Most of the people there probably had no clue about it as well. Ee-Na hated being put in this situation. They had a meal together just an hour ago. What happened to him, and why was he doing that now?

Hwan looked at her cheerfully and said, “We keep bumping into each other.”

Everyone glanced toward her, but she ignored them. Instead, she just looked at Hwan without any words.

“Republic of Korea Hunter Army, huh? That was a quick response.” He spoke to her casually, as if they had just bumped into each other on the street. Meanwhile, Jeong-Nam, severely injured, was a clear picture of this terrible incident.

Park Jeong-Nam’s dark red blood was pooled on the ground, making a horrifying sight.
