Qin Hua took a quick look at the gains from the mana core and she smacked her lips in delight. The bigger the risk the bigger the rewards!

[Yasss! Woof!]

She snapped her canines and eyed the three remaining gigantic boas as if she was looking at three big treasure troves.

She redid the spell for the third boa, imprisoning it once again with [Dark Shackles], and dashed around leading the other two boas by their nose.

Not only was it somehow easier or rather less draining to cast the [Dark Shackles] spell, she could feel a wave of strength and power surge in her body.

She knew that she probably wouldn’t get any experience points by finishing the three beasts but the mana cores alone, not to mention their thick fleshy bodies, giving out experience points with each bite was reward enough.

Just thinking about it made her grin wildly. There was a renewed spring in her step.

Not just Qin Hua but almost everyone looked as if they had already won the battle. Though their eyes were red and noses were snot-filled, they had big smiles on their face.

After recharging their batteries from the previous fight, Lu Chen, Alex, and Guan Ye quickly joined the team with the rifles, who were gunning down one of the boas.

Lu Chen and Guan Ye had also feasted on raw snake meat after watching Alex and they were now almost completely replenished except for the faint mental fatigue.

“Stop shooting. Stop shooting.”

“More and more numbers of smaller beasts are starting to come here. Let’s save the bullets for later. Grab a weapon and come hit the snake. It won’t attack you. You saw it, right?”

Lu Chen shouted as he stood next to the group and started bombarding the boa with ice spears. He made sure to target the same spot where the gunners had injured the snake.

“You heard him. STOP SHOOTING!” Mo Ling as well yelled at the crowd and everyone finally stopped.

The group of them rushed towards the snake and started poking it and prodding it with kitchen knives and whatever weapon they had. Thick green blood splattered everywhere and the snake hissed in pain.

However, before it could turn its attention to the people who were actually slashing at it, a loud provoking roar sounded and its attention was once again back onto the big black dog.

With just two snakes and her clone helping her, Qin Hua was able to easily dance around and keep the taunt going.

She also managed to save a couple of seconds to cast another [Chaos Ball] and even went out of her way to take care of two giant rats which showed up on the battlefield. Though she left their cores intact in case someone needed an emergency energy refill.

And so, the situation had finally taken a turn and everything that looked final and climactic was no longer the same.

The fight now did not last long and in a matter of seconds, the second boa fell as well.

“Hurray! We did it!”

“Ahhhhhhh!”

“Waaaahhhhh!!!”

Everyone cheered loudly as the humongous body thrashed around on the ground. No one seemed to be afraid of it anymore and quickly finished off the snake by massacring its head.

They took out all of their frustrations by beating down on the beast with everything they had.

Just like the pee stains on their pants and skirts, the fear in their heart had also faded and they continued stabbing the dead beast in a frenzy.

Things were getting out of control and even Lu Chen, Alex, and Guan Ye had to take a step back, lest they might get stabbed by mistake.

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Qin Hua noticed this and she howled loudly. [Idiots, don’t ruin my meat!]

She quickly rushed towards the angry mob along with the third boa that was still trying to strike her down and let out another ear-piercing roar.

[Majestic Growl]

The boa immediately became more agitated and struck her down once again, its fangs itching to taste her meat. However, Qin Hua was faster and the snake’s head only banged against solid earth.

Dust and rubble flew everywhere from the collision, making the crowd cough violently.

The sudden appearance of the third snake also snapped them out of the frenzy, bringing the mob under instant control.

Everyone somewhat quieted down and Lu Chen quickly explained. “The meat is very nutritious. Let’s not waste it. It will help us get stronger. Attack the next snake. Focus on the part where it already bleeding.”

A few gasps sounded and now everyone understood that they had gone overboard. They nodded in unison and did not beat the dead snake again.

Besides, there were still two more snakes left. It was not like they lacked an opponent.

With energetic looks on their faces, the crowd quickly moved onto the next snake, most of them forgetting even the presence of the mana core.

However, a few still hung around, waiting and watching what was going to happen to the mana core. They also had an eye on Qin Hua as they were very wary of her.

They gnashed their teeth at the thought of her once again plundering this mana core as well.

And just as they did, Qin Hua also barged in with the same devilish greedy grin on her face. [Minneeeee! Woof!!!]

She used her paw to claw out the flesh with the mana core from the snake’s head in one fell swoop and then with a big fat grin, she gobbled up everything, even licking her lips contently.

As the meat melted down her mouth into her gullet, the notifications chimes in one by one…

<Ding. Agility +11>

<Ding. Intelligence +17>

<Ding. New secondary stat acquired – Poison Resistance>

Qin Hua licked her lips contently after eyeing all the upgrades, but the next second, she reeled in her grin seeing the tired smile on Lu Chen’s face. He was even giving her a thumbs up.

[Cough. Cough. Woof. Of course, the next one is yours.] She sheepishly grinned and dashed away, evading the third boa’s attack.
