Reincarnated as a Dog with System – Chapter 132.4: Pit of worms Part4 Bahasa Indonesia

Terrible noises echoed ahead of them and both Alex and Xu Meilin dashed as fast as they could.

These people had been frozen and helpless against mere tiny insects that didn’t fight back, so they didn’t have to imagine what was happening right now.

They both did not have any expectations. They already knew what they were going to see.

Little white and Lu Chen were not with them right now, so irrespective of whatever was going on, everything was already out of their hands.

Bang!

A loud noise echoed as the two women rushed back to the site of the main battle. Xu Meilin was afraid to even look up. She could only smell death in the air.

Alex was a bit braver and the only thought in her mind was to save whoever was still alive.

She clenched her dagger and stared ahead, but unlike the blood bath and massacre they had expected, the scene in front of them was completely different.

Eight humongous worms were dancing in the air, swaying their upper bodies here and there as they tried to suck their prey.

And as for their team, they had already dispersed into smaller groups, and right now everyone was on their own, running back and forth helter-skelter.

Everyone was badly injured, visibly bleeding, but more importantly, they somehow still seemed to be alive and holding on.

Alex sucked in a big breath of air as she watched the people scrambling on their feet and moving amidst the messy ground.

She blinked and waited for a different reality to pop up in front of her, but it was still the same. These people were actually fighting back and hadn’t just dropped dead already like flies.

And when she looked closer, she could see that some of them seemed to be running around attracting the attention of the centipedes, while the others slashed at the centipede’s body with their daggers.

However, unlike Qin Hua, they were not able to steadily hold the attention of the beast so they were doing it interchangeably.

Luckily for them, the centipedes were not as fast as the boas and moreover, this was an open space, not like the closed hall Alex and Xu Meilin had fought the centipede in.

Perhaps because of this or perhaps because of the fact that everyone was painfully aware that they had to fend for themselves, the situation ended up being a lot better than Alex had ever expected.

She grinned wildly whilst tears streamed down her eyes. She clenched her fists and did not hesitate any longer.

“RUN NOW! DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUN!!!” She shouted as loudly as she could and then jumped in.

She ran over to the centipede that looked the most injured and slashed her dagger at the beast’s bleeding body.

Unknowingly, in a fit of urgency, she ended up mixing her fire ability with her dagger swings and each attack from her landed thrice the damage she was previously doing.

She couldn’t help but feel that this kind of fighting style suited her best, despite the fact that the weapon she was currently holding wasn’t the best fit for her.

“RUN NOW! I am going to BOMB this entire fucking place along with these damned centipedes!” Alex once again shouted and this time most people heard her and started moving out quickly.

Alex and Xu Meilin, along with Luo Zu kept the centipedes occupied while the others ran.

No one argued with her strategy as it was abundantly clear to them that they were only barely holding on, about to give out and die at any moment.

However, the centipedes did not easily relent. Xiao Ming as well stayed back and Alex shot out several fireballs emptying out her mana reserves fast.

And when finally, they couldn’t hold on any longer, Alex took out a grenade from the backpack and tossed it out at the beast in the back.

BOOM!

A loud explosion resounded and dirt and cement flew everywhere along with parts of the centipede’s flesh. The beast couldn’t bear the brunt of the attack and was completely blown apart.

Alex, Xu Meilin, Luo Zu, Xiao Ming, and the two others who were in the vicinity were thrown back from the impact.

“No. It is not over. Get up fast!” Alex scurried to stand on her feet and she dragged herself and ran away.

One beast was dead but the other seven centipedes were still very much alive even if they were injured badly.

Everyone else as well managed to get a grip and run as the centipedes were disoriented from the unexpected explosion.

The ground was full of acidic puddles so they couldn’t even move around freely.

Moreover, to make matters worse, the acidic puddles caught fire from the explosion and the entire area started burning.

“What the heck? Why is everything burning?” Xiao Ming went livid. “Go Go Go! Run quick. Alex, toss the next one.” Luo Zu shouted in a panic.

Everyone managed to get to a safe distance but surprisingly, Alex was a bit slow to move. Or rather her legs did not budge.

She could feel that she was stronger now than before. Was it because of the fire?

Everything around her was literally burning and she felt a power seeping into her from the messy flaming grounds.

Alex didn’t know why but she felt confident that she might be able to take on the beasts even if it was 1 vs 7.

Besides, all of them could never run away at the same time, someone needed to hold these beasts back. Otherwise, they would only catch up in no time.

But their speed wasn’t too good. So maybe they could run away?

At this point, Alex had no idea why she was even fighting, but she knew that she could win and she wanted to win.

“Mei Mei, make sure you keep everyone safe. I am going to stay back and fight a bit. Don’t worry about me. If things get too tricky, I can run back.”
