While others struggled to gather enough Internal Energy to fill up their Dantians and slowly crawl toward the next stage, Leo and Yeon always suffered from the exact opposite, they always had too much energy beyond their initial needs!

In their case, having a very solid foundation made breakthrough much harder, so they needed a lot of energy to force their way through to the next stage. As a result, they always absorbed more energy than their Dantian could hold at the point of breakthrough.

In the eyes of bystanders, such an act could be considered overkill. Using time to cross this hurdle made much more sense than being wasteful, but to Leo and other ‘geniuses’, time was their most precious resource.

‘If only I could just attach another battery.’

In order to make sure that nothing went to waste, Leo had always initiated Dantian Expansion right after his breakthrough, and so did Yeon. Still, he couldn’t help complaining about his always cramped Dantian.

Just why didn’t Murim Supremacy’s Heavenly Strength Society have a method that opened up a middle or an upper Dantian like some other novels did? If only he had double or triple the energy capacity, then Leo would never have to watch out for his reserves in the middle of battle!

Unfortunately, this particular reality would never change because of his complaint. So he could only focus on expanding his Dantian silently in order to contain all of his new accumulations inside of it.

Unlike how he usually did it, Leo didn’t even get to take a long breath as a new Unrestrained Martial Artist, being thrown into the arduous task of destruction and reconstruction.

‘It’s back to normal now.’

Compared to the fast-forwarded process of absorption, Leo’s perception of time had synced back with reality from the very moment his breakthrough started, making him feel impatient about the conclusion to this long seclusion.

‘Finally.’

Still, even if it felt slower than usual due to the contrast, the point where Leo’s Dantian had taken its new shape had eventually come. Announcing the end of the period of concentration that he had to keep going for long.

Fully opening up his eyes, Leo felt something different in the air. It was as if he could grasp anything in his line of sight!

‘So this is what being Unrestrained is like?’

Not to mention view, even breathing felt different. Compared to the usually simple strengthening, becoming an Unrestrained Martial Artist was as special as achieving Transcendence, it had a deeper meaning to becoming stronger.

The liberation that came with ascending to an Unrestrained Martial Artist was less about the body and more about the evolution of Internal Energy. As the true core of martial arts, it was the only path that one could go forward from this point on.

While ‘Internal Energy Telekinesis’ was the milestone of the Unrestrained Stage like the ‘True Internal Fire’ of Transcendence and the ‘Sword Qi’ of the Peak Stage, the result of the breakthrough was more than just that…

The freedom represented by the stage’s name referred to the liberation of energy, allowing the Martial Artist to wield his energy was far more freedom than ever before. A simple example of that would be the Heavenly Arrow’s huge volley of energy!

‘I will need far more stretching up this time around.’

Considering the different direction that this power-up went towards, Leo was bound to need more warming up to get used to it, but regardless of what was to come next, Leo’s very next action was already confirmed.

Although the rating and the points awarded seemed too little for the achievement, the lump sum that he received from erasing the event where his death would have occurred could be said to have already covered a big part of this new change’s worth.

Most importantly, most of Leo’s attention had already transferred to the statistics panel. No matter what, it was always exciting to see these numbers go up.

The increase in Physique may have seemed lackluster compared to his last breakthrough, but this was already to be expected considering the nature of his recent evolution.
