With Regus laying down the facts from the council of monarchs before everyone, it became clear as to what the vampire society was in for and the only question that now remained was what was their particular role in this operation.

Soon Regus unflurred a round map that fit the round table perfectly.

On the map was a wide array of terrain drawn including everything from mountains, rivers, valleys, deserts, ice deserts and pits.

One half of the map was bright, and the other half was dark and there were about 2000 small dots on the map through which seemed to be the orbs that Regus was talking about.

Finally a bit deeper into both the maps away from the centre line, there seemed to be ten massive disc shaped structures which seemed to be the main protective objective of this war.

Everyone looked at the map seriously as Regus began explaining what they had to do.

” Out of the ten discs needed to be protected, 3 are going to be protected by the angel monarchy… ” Regus said as he put a small figurative angel on the three discs that the angels had decided to protect.

” One is going to be protected by Emperor Cervantez and his Hazelgroove Empire ”

” One is going to be protected by the Won Knight Monarchy “

” One is going to be protected by the Elf King “

” One is going to be protected by the forger King of Dwargon “

” One is going to be protected by the Remnant dragon forces that have sided with us “

Regus said as he placed a symbol for each of the ten discs until only two were left where he paused and said ” Two of them have to be protected by us “

Nothing was said but it was evident as to why this situation had occurred.

Shakuni had killed the thunder monarch Thor and was then himself killed by Lucifer.

Although the True Elites were a monarchy in size, their leader Neatwit could not be trusted with the defence of a disc since he was not a tier8 monarch himself, nor a tier7 powerhouse.

” Naturally, I’ll look after one, but the other one will have to be collectively looked by you Julian and Vega-

At the start of the war when only one disc activates at a time, I’ll come and cover your area If you are in trouble and so will the others.

Although King Hades is injured he will also be there to guard the place alongside any other independent monarchs that do decide to participate in the war.

But if all goes to hell, in the end it’s the responsibility of the two of you to protect it with your life ” Regus said as he looked towards the two strongest warriors in the vampire monarchy after him.

All eyes turned towards Vega and Julian, it was public knowledge that the duo hated each other to the bone, however, it was a situation where they were forced to cooperate.

” I will protect that disc with my life, I will die before I let it be destroyed ” Vega said with no hesitation as he reassured the vampire council that he was upto the task.

” So will I, my king ” Julian said as he looked towards Vega and gave the other guy a tactical nod.

With that one nod all the enmity was put aside for a later date as the two of them put the interests of the vampire society as a whole above their own petty squabbles.

It was surprising as to how men could put great enmity aside and co-operate in times of duress, however, such was the power of war.

It devastated some and United others.

” Apart from the discs, we have to protect a total of 100 orbs in total.

In the entire vampire society we have a total of 40 tier6 god’s and each one will be responsible for a single orb.

Clans ranked 2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 will take on the responsibility of guarding 3 orbs each for a total of 30.

Clans ranked 13-36 will take one orb each. This includes the currently unranked Bloodfall clan for a total of 23 orbs.

As for the remaining 7 orbs, it will be the responsibility of the Aurelius clan ” Regus said as he drew a circle around the region that the vampire clans needed to protect.

The region they were assigned seemed to be a slightly mountainous region with several small streams and rivers flowing through them.

The orbs were everywhere from the base of the mountain to the summits and protecting each one would require a different strategic approach.

” The next agenda of the meeting would be to divide the orbs amongst ourselves, but before that, I as a King have to take a moment and acknowledge the accomplishment of Lord Ravan Bloodfall.

250 years, over 3 million vampires dead over 7 generations, yet he single handedly won the two border planets that we shared with the barbarians while also having contributed greatly for the conquest of the first one.

If it was a different time, I would personally honor him with a banquet, but unfortunately I cannot ” Regus said as he looked towards Ravan alongside every other lord in the room.

Max sat back and nodded towards the king nonchalantly, it seemed like his accomplishments did not go unnoticed and was acknowledged by Regus Aurelius.

Everyone cast a slightly respectful and reverent gaze towards him as they felt grateful for what he had achieved.

The border problem had plagued vampires for 7 generations.

” This war as you must know is not only about defending but also attacking, and it’s my hope that the clans ranked 13-36 who have been given the task of defending only can be proactive and destroy enemy bases.

For this purpose the choices of orbs you need to defend will be closer to the centre line and it will make you the prime targets for enemy counter-attacks.

Show heart and guts my lord’s ” Regus said as he explained the ground reality of the roles of the lower ranked clans.

They had been given only one single orb to defend but they were also expected to be proactive and attack.

If 100 dark faction discs were destroyed, it would trigger a disc raid in which the heavyweights would participate, but it was the job of the lightweights to trigger that event.

With everything explained, it was finally time for the true meeting to start as everyone discussed which positions they wanted to defend and why.
