Day after day, Max went out to the pits of fire to hunt powerful fire creatures, as his constant struggle against the environment started to bear extra fruits in the form of constitution and endurance stat improvements from all the running around that he did in the high heat.

By now, Max had hunted every major creature native to the planet and was slowly learning their attack patterns and weak spots, as everyday he would return to the hut less injured than the previous one showing Angakok that he was a fast learner.

The only exception to this rule was the phoenix.

By now Max had identified 3 different phoenix’s in the skies of the planet and all of them were without a doubt extremely terrifying hunters.

Max had often heard tales about how the only beasts that could rival the illustrious dragon clan were the phoenix and the nine-tailed beasts, but only now did he understand that the saying was a bit under exaggerated.

Dragon’s were the most complete beasts in nature.

Born with a high defence stat, relatively decent attack power, extremely high vitality stat, high mana, high intelligence and an unparalleled constitution.

In stark contrast if one saw the phoenix, it neither had high vitality, nor defence nor constitution. But what it lacked in these 3 sectors it more than made up with its ludicrous attack power.

If one believed a dragon’s flamethrower to be devastating, they had clearly never witnessed a phoenix breathe fire in their life.

Even if Max wanted to, he could never forget the scene where the phoenix hunted from the sky and rounded up 4 groups of Flame lions, a total of 20 of them just for the thrill of the hunt.

On a wide charred black field, 20 lions ran with their tails tucked between their legs, terrified of the phoenix chasing them as the phoenix breathed one fire attack and covered the entire battlefield, 400 metres wide with a torrential flood of fire and killed all 20 flame lions with a fire attack at once.

The scene of that fire attack, that turned solid land into a fire furnace sent goosebumps down Max’s spine as he understood why the phoenix was called a beast that rivalled the mighty dragon’s despite not having much of their well rounded abilities.

It was power, the raw power of being the supreme commanders of the element of fire that allowed the phoenix to be a supreme species.

Max knew he would have to face the beast once before his time on the planet was over, not because it was a necessity for him to complete Angakok’s mission, but because he felt an indescribable calling from watching that beast manipulate the laws of fire so easily.

Although he had the Agni-Astra to make his mastery over fire as perfect as any phoenix, he felt that if he fought one and managed to take it down, his understanding of the element of fire would increase by leaps and bounds.

But to do that, he would need a solid plan and a free day within his schedule to reach Angakok’s goal with a day to spare. It was not a problem that he could approach today.

The council of monarch’s was an event organised once in every 25 years where the monarchs of light faction all gathered to discuss the fate of the universe.

This edition of the meeting was more important than ever with the defection of the night king and the withdrawal of the mercenary king from their circle, leaving the light faction at their weakest point since the peace treaty had been signed in these very halls 5000 years ago.

For the first time ever, the strength of the dark faction was nearly equal to that of the light and the bells of war were ringing.

The participants in this edition of the meeting were

7. The Dwarf kingdom of Dwargon, led by the Forger King

8. The beast kingdom led by beast King Omar.

9. The angel monarchy led by Micheal

10. Kingdom of Life led by Beniogre

Apart from these dignitaries a few people tagged along such as Patricia Won Knight, Prince Aman ,Rohan Silvernight, archangel Sariel and archangel Raphael.

The atmosphere in the council hall was solemn as Micheal took the lead to start the conversation.

” As you all know, the dragon monarchy has been torn with internal strife while we have defectors in the form of the night king and the mercenary king.

While the night king has outright decided to shift the laws governing his territory from the light to the dark, the mercenary king has some sense and has not joined the dark faction outright, but has sold his soul to them in return of monetary and territorial gain promises.

The peace forces of Goddess Beniogre have been attacked at the front lines and 7 planets have been thrown into the fires of war alongside 3 different monarchies.

The light faction is weaker than ever and it is imperative that we put up a united front in these perilous times more than ever.

Before we start the meeting and waste our breaths to discuss how to counter the dark faction, those monarchs who want to take a wait and see approach, please raise your hands and spare me the trouble of trying to convince you.
