Both men did not charge blindly at each other, but rather closed the gap between each other cautiously.

[ Energy Blast ]

Max took the initiative to make the first move as he used energy blast to launch a mid-ranged attack.

Eden lunged to his left to avoid the blast but Max took the opportunity to close in the gap between the two of them as he used [ Overhead Slash ] to try and hit Eden on his temple.

*SHINGGG*

Eden had to use both his swords to block Max’s attack as the sheer power behind Max’s strike made him buckle to one knee.

A kick straight to his chest forced Eden to do a backroll as he lost the first chunk of his HP before staggering back to his feet.

” Max draws the first blood, Eden seems to struggle with his superior power” the commentator announced as the earthlings gave this exchange their roaring approval.

Eden cursed his luck, his opponent definitely had a much superior strength stat than he did, which meant that he would be at a disadvantage if he went against Max sword for sword.

‘ If power is not the solution, then I can only go for speed ‘ Eden thought as he shifted gears and took the initiative to attack this time.

Eden tried to probe Max for the limits of his speed as he threw Max with a combination of moves that attacked Max at a plethora of angles.

Combo 1 – Strike to the head with the right sword, thrust to the stomach with the second.

Max dodged the thrust to the stomach by turning sideways while blocked the strike to the head with his own sword.

Combo 2 – Eden tried to turn the missed jab into a wide slice moving from right to left, trying to slice Max’s abdomen, while he turned his right wrist to change the angle of his right sword to a thrust towards the neck.

Max stepped in close towards Eden, making the wide slice practically useless as the extended left arm could no longer harm Max with him standing chest to chest with Eden, while blocking the right swords thrust over his shoulder.

With Max now being so close to Eden, there was no room for either of them to make any sword attacks, as the two of them stared intensely in each other’s eyes before Max deciding to Headbutt Eden pointblank.

Eden staggered back two steps after being headbutted so hard as Max kicked his left wrist with a powerful kick before he recovered and managed to send his left sword flying back.

*OOOOOO* the earthlings and humans from 2050 gasped collectively as Max ran towards Eden to capitalise on the newfound momentum.

Eden gripped his only sword now with both his hands as he tried to match Max’s powerful flurry of attacks, however, his strength stat was nowhere near as high as Max and because of it Max was able to suppress his dual-handed sword wielding with a single hand.

Max with only his right hand put pressure on Eden’s sword from above, as their two swords clashed at a perpendicular angle to one another and refused to budge, as Max was sure that he had managed to chip Eden’s sword slightly with this strike and was sinking deeper and deeper into the metal with every passing second.

Eden tried his hardest to pull his sword up and send Max flying back, but despite putting his full back behind it, he could not move Max back a single inch.

” What monstrous power ….. ” Eden commented as he could not understand how someone at tier4 could be so strong.

Max did not answer him, but rather grabbed him by his neck while still continuing to suppress him as he slowly lifted him off his feet by his free hand.

” You asked me why I keep my one hand free at the start…. This is why I keep my hand free boy, so that I can smash arrogant punks like you to the ground ” Max said as he tried to give Eden a chokeslam straight into the concrete below but the man used [ Blink ] and teleported 100 metres away from Max into the farthest corner of the arena.

” OOOO, Eden scampers away like a coward, Max is completely dominating this fight one sidedly, by the god’s this is embarrassing ” the commentator said as he poured fuel over the burning fire of the emotions of Eden’s supporters.

Max threw his hands up in resignation as he then tried to hype his side of the crowd by waving at them and throwing around ‘V’ signs as he waited for Eden to gather the balls to come and fight him again.

‘ WELL DONE MAX! YOU’VE GOT THIS! ‘

‘ Hahaha, don’t worry you will smash his face next time! ‘

‘ This fight is so satisfying, the brat has no answers for Max’s overwhelming power!’

‘ LET’S FUCKING GO! ‘

Max could make out some of the louder comments amongst the chaos of what 100,000 earthlings were shouting, but unlike them he did not believe that he had this in the bag.

While on the surface it looked like he was dominating the fight one sidedly, the truth of the matter was that Eden had only lost about 1% of his total HP up til now while avoiding making any big mistakes.

He had that intelligent look in his eyes that Max had only seen in the most calculative fighters and it seemed like everything he did uptil now was only his way to probe Max.

Yes he was dominant over his opponent by having followed the path of the perfect warrior, however, that did not make him invincible.

Even now, as he stood in the far corner, he was calm and did not look rattled, probably thinking of a plan that could ensure his victory now that he knew some of the abilities that his opponent was capable of.

‘ The real fight starts now, be careful ‘ Drax said in Max’s mind as finally Max took a proper fighting stance for the first time since the battle started.

Things were about to get heated now
