Max browsed through a lot of legendary grade items and in the end his mind was blown by the various items and their utilities.

He wanted to take at least 30 items from the legendary grade catalogue, but unfortunately he could not.

Thankfully there was still a divine items list to browse through which had a total of 530 items stored!

Taking a deep breath, Max walked into the divine section, however quickly realised that he could not see or inspect most of the items placed in that section.

Most of the restricted items that he could not pick from were placed in the divine items section, as out of the over 500 items in the divine section there were only 5 available for him to pick.

The orb in this set can manipulate the surrounding gravity and the 10 rings provide 10 users the freedom from the gravitational field of the orb.

With an area of effect of 50 kilometres square, the orb can be used as an item to redirect arrow rain from enemies during siege, or as a Trump card in one vs one battles to alter the field of fighting.

Note – This is a permanent bound item, you can never swap them for another pair of shoes once you wear them.

Max read about all the 5 items he could pick from carefully and started to compare their strengths and weaknesses to decide which one was best suited for him.

He was in no rush to choose any item here as he knew that he would probably never receive a chance like this ever again.

( Meanwhile at the Kingsman clan )

The faces of the Kingsman clan members were extremely grim as they gathered to discuss the war situation.

The latest intelligence report suggested that a lot of new soldiers were flocking towards Ravan’s army and a retired tier5 war veteran had also chosen to join his camp.

According to the intelligence, Ravan was on track to replenish all the lost blood and was sure to expand his military might by at least 200,000 troops in the next 2 months.

However the most disturbing report was his acquisition of 6 destroyer class battleships which were secured using the steel deal that was supposed to fall in the lap of the Kingsman clan.

Ravan’s daily Military expenditure was close to 1 million gold coins, and before capturing the two planets he was incapable of supplementing this income, but now he had a running income source from the mines and could afford to feed and maintain his army comfortably, on the other hand with the failure of the new air defence system deal with the dwarves, the Kingsman clan were now scrambling to scrap enough money to buy a few.

With the enemy in possession of destroyer class battleships, the Kingsman clan were forced to make massive expenditure on air defences because it was the only way to effectively counter the enemy.

” We have to attack the enemy before they can gather enough strength” One of the tier 5 generals of the Kingsman clan said as Roy’s uncle Farid scoffed at the proposal.

” That would be the most idiotic move ever, you do realise they are a group of rebel hippies right?

They will flee at our sight like rats and fall back to their safe haven within the Saint Maximus territory.

Once they reach Greensoil, we won’t be able to pursue them, because if we do we will be obliterated by Saint Maximus patrolling ships and start a clan war with them.

Even if they flee and we take back the two planets, they can always return a while later and attack our diluted forces, or worse head straight for the capital, where either way we would bleed from having a thousand cuts.

The only option we have is to buy the best defence systems and place our bets on one single conclusive war!

Let them try their best, but come what may, Dombivli City will not fall into their hands ” Farid said as although his words made sense, his logic was also flawed.

Everyone in the war council noticed the flaws in his plan, but nobody had the guts to call him outright and highlight the mistakes as they knew that it would have far reaching consequences for them if they spoke against Farid’s idea.

” I agree with uncle, we need to be decisive and kill them all in one fell sweep. There is no point in doing small operations” Roy, the inexperienced newbie who was the only member in the council room to not have earned his position through merit, spoke as his backing of his uncle sealed the matter shut.

” Sell some federal assets and devise some interim tax on the citizens to raise capital for the air defence systems.

If worse comes to worse, don’t pay the government employees salary this month, but buy whatever we need for defence ” Farid said as he instructed the purchase managers to get the required defence systems by any means necessary.
