” Bleh, even their blood smells like horse shit ” Max said as he felt an urge to puke by smelling their pungent blood.

Using [ scan ] Max was leading an injured Mira out of the mountain as he took the best routes with least chances of dangerous conflicts to bring her out.

Max also did all the fighting for the both of them, when they did have to face an opponent as he gave Mira the maximum time possible to recover.

So far he had slain 15 tier 3 spiders and 1 tier 4 Kobold as there were two more passageways that the two of them needed to cross before reaching the outside world.

While one of the passageways was empty, the last one had a sleeping Earth Lizard inside whose strength was at tier 4.

” Be silent, if possible I don’t want to fight this lizard ” Max said as he instructed Mira to tiptoe her way out of the last passageway if possible, however, it was only a fantasy to sneak past the lizard unnoticed because as soon as the duo entered the chamber, the lizard was instantly alerted.

*Grrrrr* The lizard growled at a low frequency which sounded like a baby making gurgling noises, however, the menacing method in which it moved its tongue in and out of its mouth made it clear to Max that the beast meant business.

” Agh fuck it ” Max said as he clutched his sword and rushed towards the beast.

Max had plenty of experience killing Earth Lizards in the dragon’s paradise dungeon, which was why he knew that dealing with their thick skin was troublesome.

Max used [ Way Of The Wind ] to anticipate the beast’s attack moves as he weaved through them effortlessly while dealing small cuts to its armour like skin.

Having fought so many of these lizards before, Max knew that they were especially slow in turning to their backside, as their bone structure did not permit mobility in that part.

Hence if one constantly circled them and attacked from the back, the beast would consistently lose HP.

Sticking to this plan, Max underwent an intense 5 minutes cardio session where he was always on his toes, circling behind the lizards back to consistently deal damage, until eventually the beast started to lose a lot of blood, which gave Max the opening he needed to kill it for once and for all.

Max manipulated the beast’s own blood to use it against itself as he created blood spikes out of them while simultaneously creating a sharp blade slash to deal critical damage to the creature.

Max ignored the System Remark, it had never been kind to him since the day he started his journey in Sigma, it was almost as if the system had a personal vendetta against him.

With the Earth Lizard dead, the duo could finally escape the constraints of the mountain and finally start their journey towards the Black Dragon base camp.

Standing on the edge of the cave, Max observed the ‘ West Trail ‘ , the one that he and Mira needed to traverse to reach the black dragon camp and realised that the trail was created so that flying dragons could easily reach their bases at night, while it was not designed to travel by foot at all.

Travelling 120 kilometres through an almost uncut forest was going to be an extreme challenge, especially with an injured dragon as his baggage.

Regus had just received news of Max’s stunning victory on the Kingsman battlefield as he felt like something was amiss regarding the abnormal rise of Ravan.

His intuition told him he needed to keep a closer eye on the boy, but he did not have a clear reason to do so, which was why he could only summon his most trusted ally Julian Caesar to entrust him with the task.

” Julian, I need someone you trust to go and inspect Ravan, I want to see his status bar, somehow I feel he’s hiding a profound secret ” Regus said as Julian Caesar seemed to be astonished

Opening and closing his mouth a few times the man said ” You see it too right? At the banquet I could not inspect his status bar at all, which is odd because no tier3 should have the power to evade my gaze! “

” I could not inspect him either, but I know it’s because Vega had handed him a divine ring that prevented all sorts of inspections.

The only question I have is ‘ why ‘?

It’s clear he has undergone dragonification, which if we see his records of having visited the Dragon’s Paradise Dungeon is not too surprising.
