<Author’s Notes>

I didn’t have the time to write, so today’s chapter is a little short.

One afternoon, I was reading a book. This book was recommended to me by Isis-san, and it was a travel diary-like story about a married couple who travel to various parts of the Demon Realm.

Although there are few major climaxes, the descriptions of scenery and food are very realistic, and it’s a good book that makes me want to go on a trip.

……A trip huh…… Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever been on a trip with Isis-san. The range of activities isis-san herself can do is limited due to the influence of her magic power of death, so it would usually be me visiting her home or her coming to visit me.

When we hang out, it would always be for a day trip, and I don’t think we’ve ever taken a long trip.

It’s not like we had to go on tourist attractions. I have that storable cottage in my magic box, so we can go somewhere as if we were camping.

It would be a lot of fun to spend a relaxing time with Isis-san in a place rich in nature, just like those depicted in books.

I think that would be a pretty good idea…… but I wonder what Isis-san thinks of this? I guess I’ll ask her while returning the book.

Coming to Isis-san’s castle to return the book I had finished reading, I talked about my impressions of the book with Isis-san over tea.

[It was a good book. It made me want to go on a trip when I read it……]

[……Unnn…… Their depiction of sceneries…… was quite thorough…… and their composition was quite lovely.]

The book discussion is lively and the atmosphere is pretty good. Thinking that this would be a good time to broach that subject, I decided to try suggesting to her about going on a trip.

[……So, Isis-san. There’s something I’d like to discuss with you……]

[……Unnn?]

[If it’s okay with you, Isis-san, how about the two of us go on a trip?]

[……A trip? ……Together…… with Kaito?]

[Yes. Instead of going to tourist spots, let’s go somewhere rich in nature, like camping…… Well, it’s just, this book made me want to go on a trip, but I’ve never traveled with Isis…… and so…… that’s what I thought……]

Somehow, I became more and more nervous while talking about this. I mean, although this is quite obvious, this invitation somehow feels like me inviting her to go somewhere for an overnight stay, and being aware of that thought in my mind, I suddenly feel embarrassed.

When I glanced at Isis-san and peeked at her reaction, a smile as bright as blooming flowers appeared in Isis-san’s lips.

[……Trip with Kaito…… I want to go!]

[It’s decided then. In that case, let’s talk about where we should go. I’ve done some research on my side as well, but Isis-san is more knowledgeable when we’re talking about the Demon Realm…… It might also be a good idea to go to some of the places mentioned in the book.]

[……Unnn…… Come to think of it…… The book also talked about them camping…… It didn’t give any specific details about the place…… but from its descriptions…… I think it would be around Western Demon Realm.]

[Fumu, so we can narrow it down to the Western Demon Realm?]

[……Unnn…… I’ll go get some books…… that we could use as references.]

Even looking at Isis-san from the side, I could feel how excited she was, as she went to pick up books about the Western Demon Realm.

I’m glad she was pleased with the idea. I myself actually think that I had thought of a good idea, and since I’ve bought fishing equipment before, if there’s a river nearby, we can go fishing.

While we’re at it, it also might be a good idea to buy something like camping equipment, and try to make it feel like we would be genuinely camping. Well, I’ll discuss this with Isis-san and make a decision after that.

Unnn. I’m getting pretty excited about this too. Thinking about the various things I’d really like to discuss with Isis-san, I’m unable to sit still, fidgeting in my seat.
