Chapter 27 – Turbidity of Magic Power

There’s something I need to do before thinking of a countermeasure.

It is necessary to know about this world that was created by the fruit of the world.

It seems to be made in a completely different way compared to Earth.

Well, even if we are told that this is made the same way as Earth was made, we won’t be able to think of a countermeasure because we don’t even know any detail.

In short, I guess we need to know what this world looks like first.

「Goddess Aion, am I correct to assume that this world is made by divine power?」

You said something about pouring divine power into the fruit of the world.

「The fruit of the world is packed with pure magic power and by mixing our divine power to it, it will create a core.」

Core?

….is that enough?

「The divine power and the magic power will form a beautiful sphere core. From there, the things necessary for a world will be created.」

I tilted my head to Goddess Aion’s explanation.

I only understand up to the part where a core will be formed.

From there, the world will be created?

Will it pop into existence if we wish for it?

「….I don’t get it.」

「ehto….when the core is created, land will be created too. So far, it is the same in every world so this is the initial setting of the fruit of the world.」

It has a setting?

「so, is the land immediately above the core?」

「No. Usually, there is a vast space around the core. When the size of the world is determined, only then will land will be formed.」

You mean you can freely decide how big the planet will be?

「How big is a core?」

「A sphere around 100m in diameter.」

A 100-meter sphere?

That’s smaller than I thought and the area around the core is hollow.

I look at the garden.

Well, I guess the land is quite thick so you can’t dig down to that place.

That’s kind of strange.

「Is the area around the core of planet Earth hollow too?」

「Yeah, the area around its core is hollow. To explain it simply, there is a wall protecting the core and the magma on top of it. Since the first year of Earth’s birth, Earth has been piled up layer by layer so the current Earth is made up of countless layers. The way it was created is completely different from this world.」

So, those are the layers or Earth.

「Areh? How about the tectonic plates?」

「Ah, that’s…..I packed too much divine power into the core and the magma became too hot.」

「Eh? Too much?」

「The layers in contact with the magma melted because of that, I panicked so I put a heat-resistant wall in the gap between the layers to calm it down. However, there was nowhere for heat from the magma to escape. By the time I realized it, the wall had already cracked and turned into several plates moving over the magma.」

So, you’re saying….

「The cracked wall caused the magma, which was not supposed to move, started moving because of the increase of temperature. My subordinates told me that if the wall continued to crack, a large amount of magma would overflow from between the plates into the land above. I was relieved that I was able to cool the magma close to the innermost layer but the underground magma had not stopped moving and well, it caused the plates to move which was called an earthquake…..And because of the moving magma, the core malfunctions and creates more magma and if the increased of magma is not take out, it will destroy the inner part of the planet…..and so, you experienced volcanic eruptions and earthquakes yourself. Ah, the term tectonic plate is a name made up by those who live on Earth. I didn’t name it like that. The plates are what the wall I made has become.」

That’s kind of haphazard.

Cooling the inner planet, tectonic plates, core malfunction.

「Can’t you just stopped magma from moving?」

「I thought about that too but the way to stop the magma from moving is too complicated. If I made a single mistake, Earth would be destroyed….I couldn’t risk it.」

….managing Earth is hard huh.

「You said this world is different from Earth, right? How did this planet’s land came to be?」

Goddess Aion thinks a bit for a moment before answering my question.

「I’m not really sure if I’m right since I’m not the one who created this world. However, I think they created the land of this world all at once.」

All at once?

You mean they didn’t lay one layer over another like you did when you created Earth?

「I heard that those apprentices were in a hurry to become gods. Perhaps they brought the land of this planet into existence by force.」

Wouldn’t that be bad for this world?

It was forced to be created after all.

「Are there any disadvantages to creating something with brute force?」

「I think there were some disadvantages but….I don’t remember. In the first place, the fruit of the world is very precious. I never thought that anyone would use it in such a reckless way.」

But goddess, didn’t you create Earth roughly too?

I guess she doesn’t think so.

Well, Earth has nothing to do with this anyway.

I guess I need to know more about this world.

Can I ask Rope to look into it in more detail?

Speaking of which, is the space between the core of this world and the land just an empty space?

「Is the area around the core of this world just an empty void?」

「No, it must be filled with magic power. It’s the driving force that makes this world go round so I don’t think there’s any need to doubt about that part.」

「Rope, have you been able to check the core of this world?」

Is it still around?

「Of course I did!」

Great, Rope’s still here.

「Thanks for your hard work. What about the hollow part?」

「There is a turbid magical power.」

「Turbid? No, it is the magic power that makes the world go round. It should be pure magic and not turbid.」

Goddess Aion sounds impatient.

It shouldn’t be turbid?

「Eh?….it’s turbid. And since it’s turbid, the purity is pretty bad too.」

「What do you mean?」

Goddess Aion thinks out with her hand on her head.

It seems like something impossible is happening.

Since it’s turbid…..won’t it be found if we just filter it?

But still, there is magic power in the hollow part of the world.

Magic power is really important for this world.

Rope said that this world was on the verge of breaking. How did you know it’s on the verge of breaking?

It was too shocking that I forgot to ask in detail.

「Rope, what had really happened when you said it was on the verge of breaking?」

「There is a wall around the core to keep magic power from leaking out but there was a crack in it.」

「Crack?」

「Yes. The soil near the crack I found was deformed. Part of the soil was sticking out, some parts were concaved and so on.」

So, the crack affected the land?

「Is the deformation of the land what caused the earthquake?」

「I don’t know much about the fruit of the world since it’s a top-secret fruit. However, I think it is.」

Rope seemed to be unsure of the answer.

「I see.」

「I’ve repaired the cracks I found.」

「Thank you.」

If the crack in the wall were caused by too many powerful beings gathered here, it would crack again.

「Rope, what color was it.」

「It was purple but tarnished.」

Rope answers Goddess Aion’s question.

Goddess Aion’s brows knitted.

「I’ll go back and look for the manual and check if anyone knows a lot about the fruit of the world.」

Goddess Aion gets up and walks towards the garden.

「Goddess Aion, what happens if magic power is turbid?」

I have to ask this question.

「I don’t know. It’s strange for magic power to be turbid especially the magic power around the core.」

It seems like something quite impossible is happening.

Goddess Aion disappeared immediately while mumbling.

「She seems to be quite concerned that she didn’t even say goodbye.」

Flying Lizard nodded.

「It seems so. Turbid magic power……」

I checked Flying Lizard’s magic power.

It’s a beautiful magic power.

It’s strong too.

It is certainly not turbid.

The magic powers of Koa and Fluffy are clear too.

「I guess we can only wait for the manual and Goddess Aion to find a god who knows what to do.」
