Academy Genius Craftsman chapter 111

06. Midterm exam (6)

After forging, I checked my watch and it was already well past dinner time.

I must have come early in the morning, but since I was making a gunblade prototype, testing it, and making a weapon according to a new design, I skipped lunch and it was already dark outside.

‘Oops. I was too focused.’

Since I worked at my usual pace, I didn’t notice the time passing. It was common to skip meals and work at home, but today the situation was different. This is not our house, and Yuna was next to us.

Whether it was because of her face or she thought it was right, Yuna didn’t even go out to eat alone while I was working. She must have been quite tired because she couldn’t even eat because of me and was stuck with the gun blade work, but I felt sorry for her not showing her expression.

I have to finish today’s work. Wiping the sweat from her body with a towel, I looked at Yuna.

“It’s already this time. You won’t be able to eat because of me and you’ll be tired, are you okay?”

“No, it’s okay. Good eye candy… No! I had a good look. It is a concentration worthy of being called a craftsman. I admired it.”

“If that’s the case, I’m glad. I’m sorry I took up too much of your time though. I’ll leave before it’s too late.”

Her grandfather will be very worried if she gets home late. I didn’t tell you in advance that it would be this late, and I was already worried about what had happened these days. However, Yuna quietly shook her head in her place.

“Why don’t you go to bed today?”

“Go to bed?”

“I must have been exhausted no matter how tired I was after sweating so much and working non-stop. I have time to go home from here. And you’ll be back here tomorrow anyway, right? Considering the time to come and go, I think it would be more efficient to just stay overnight, right?”

Hmm… It’s certainly an attractive proposition. My whole body is full of exhaustion, probably because I lost my concentration at the thought that the work was over. My head was filled with thoughts of wanting to wash up and lie down on the bed.

If I think I’m going to work on the gunblade again tomorrow, I’ll just sleep for a while at home anyway, and I’ll be back here when I wake up. The Claprot Mansion and our house are not very close, even if you come by car. I didn’t know how long it would take to craft the perfect gunblade, so I wanted to save as much time as possible.

She felt the weight in her heart slowly tipping.

“… Then can I ask you a favor?”

“Yes! Of course! I’ll give you the room Jin Lee stayed in the other day. And I need to prepare a change of clothes. The one you’re wearing right now is soaked with sweat, so I’ll have a maid wash it for you.”

“Thank you. I owe you another night.”

“Don’t say that. Jin Lee is helping me this far, and as a client, it’s a natural thing to do.”

Client. It means the client. To Yuna, who was born into a conglomerate family and had no choice but to get used to her business relationship, the word was as natural as breathing, but it just felt strange to me. This is because I have never sold a sword to anyone, nor have I ever provided a skill for money.

“Except the client. We don’t have that kind of a tight relationship, do we?”

“Yes?”

“Ummm, so… It’s just that friends can give each other some help. Come to think of it, I received help from you from the first meeting. Aren’t we bound by contracts or deals?”

If it wasn’t for Yuna’s support shot at that time, she could have been seriously injured whether it was me or Baek Ji-soo. If you dare to clarify the situation, it is said that the relationship started when Yuna owed her.

Of course, I shrugged my shoulders awkwardly as there was no end to this discussion.

“Don’t talk about requests or anything when you’re not even going to see this or not. Since you are my friend, I help because I want to help.”

“Ah….”

“Just like that.”

I walked out of the hot studio with a sweaty towel hanging around my neck. I thought Yuna would come out soon, but for some reason, I looked back and asked the question as she stood blankly in place as if absorbed in other thoughts.

“Are you going to stay there?”

“… Oh! Nope! Gotta go yes, ahahahaha….”

I was a little curious as to what she was thinking, as this was her otherworldly appearance, which was unusual for her, but she didn’t bother to ask. My sweaty shirt was uncomfortable, so I headed straight to the bathroom.

I was thinking of just taking a shower. The bathroom in the mansion was more amazing than I thought, so I took a bath without even realizing it.

I never thought there would be such a big bathtub in the house… After all, chaebol families are different.

I was wondering if they would bring me a gown like a hotel, but the gray pajama the attendant prepared was neat and plain in design and was perfect for my size. It was a design halfway between pajamas and indoor wear, and it was a good thickness to wear in cool autumn weather.

The room Yuna prepared was the guest room where I stayed overnight. At the time, I wasn’t aware of the situation, so I didn’t take a look, but this place was too big to be a room given to guests. There is a guest room in my house, but it was a size that I am ashamed to compare.

I checked the messages one by one while I was taking a bath sitting on a sofa that looked expensive and fluffy at first glance. I told her grandfather that she would be staying overnight at a friend’s house to make weapons, and she told Yoon Seo-hee and Baek Ji-soo that it would be difficult to contact them over the weekend as they would be busy preparing for exams for the time being.

My grandfather, as always, sent messages of regards and encouragement, telling me to take care of myself and work hard together, and Seohee Yoon was full of messages of encouragement with dizzy emoticons and encouragement.

For Baek Ji-soo….

[Yes. Okay.]

Yes. What… Let’s just think it’s good that you replied.

“Um.”

I felt a faint sense of guilt when I saw the message from Yoon Seo-hee.

I told my grandfather honestly, but the reason why I evasively said to them, ‘I’m busy, so I won’t be able to contact you for a while.’

Anyway, the person I like is someone else… It wouldn’t feel too good if he came to sleep at the house of the opposite sex. To be honest, the inside of the mansion is so spacious that I don’t even feel like it’s a female classmate’s house.

‘It’s embarrassing….’

I was really embarrassed. A sense of distance from Yoon Seo-hee.

It would have been better if I hadn’t known, but now that I know, I’m a bit concerned. Should I be considerate of this or pretend I don’t know, is it cheating to be considerate when I haven’t made up my mind, or is playing with her mind if I keep my mouth shut and pretend I don’t know.

It’s difficult. It was even more painful because it was not a question with a clear answer.

[What do you think? Hmm, looks like you’re thinking of a bitch?]

‘What? How to do that… Ah.’

Certatus and I are consciously connected. That’s right, I can’t read deep psychology, but it’s about surface psychology, but I think Kertatus noticed it because I was so engrossed in Yoon Seo-hee’s thoughts.

[It’s strange that you, kid, think about women so seriously. Could it be that something progressed while I was asleep?]

‘What is progress? It’s not like that.’

[It’s not like that. I can feel it just by looking at the color of your eyes. What. Did you really put your lips on it? Or have you already done something worthy of being a child?]

“It’s not like that!”

I was furious at the high-level remarks that made me feel embarrassed. The more I listen to that devil’s tongue, the more I can’t get used to it. My head was pounding with stress at the sound of giggling and laughing in my head.

[You still react like a kid. Looking at it, it doesn’t seem to have gone too far. Well?]

“What is it? What’s the matter?”

[Child. Who is coming.]

I kept my mouth shut. I got a fever without knowing it and had a conversation with Kertatus, but it was not acceptable to be misunderstood as a patient with schizophrenia after being discovered by someone. He quietly gazed at the visitor.

Smart. There was a steady, respectful knock.

“Binary? Are you in your room?”

It was Yuna’s voice.

“Uh. What’s the matter?”

“It’s nothing… I want to talk for a minute. May I come in?”

I looked at my watch for a moment. It’s too late to talk. If there is something you want to say, you can say it tomorrow in the drawing room or workshop… Did you have something urgent to say?

“It’s okay. Come in.”

“Excuse me.”

It’s her house anyway, so excuse me. However, I took a short breath at the sight of Yuna entering the room.

Blonde hair that is still damp as if it had just been washed and dried. Smooth skin. What caught my eye more than that was the thin pajamas that exposed the curves of her body. Did you call that a slip?

In an instant, it was difficult to put my eyes on it, so I hurriedly looked away.

“Can I sit down?”

“Uh, uh. Yes.”

She laid her body down on the sofa where I had just been sitting. She sat with one leg crossed naturally, and her smooth thigh line stood out.

I sat across from her, trying not to look down.
