The whirlwind was truly spectacular, but it wasn’t enough to kill all the monsters by itself. Kang Shin-hyuk wrapped up the gate and focused the whirlwind on rotating fiercely while shooting his lightning strands into it. They flew in to snap at the necks of the nagas wandering in it, forming lightning inside of the vortex. From the outside, it almost looked like a natural disaster caused by the heavens.

“It’s not just a storm. I don’t know how the hell he did it…are you a high ranker?”

“It doesn’t seem to be like that yet, but it’s clearly a difficult ability to break down because the mana structure can’t be interpreted.” All abilities composed of mana had the potential to be overcome with mana. However, the storm created by Kang Shin-hyuk was purely spiritual. It wasn’t something that could be overcome just by using a lot of mana, which was why the nagas were swept away.

“It’s the power of a superhuman who follows after The Empress, after all. Those two…”

“How old is he? Does anyone know?”

“All of his information is managed by Shin Eunah…” People wandered behind the scenes, not daring to get near the whirlpool created by Kang Shin-hyuk. However, Eleanor, knowing that his usual abilities weren’t at this level, rushed to him.

“Eun-hyuk, are you okay?”

“I’m okay. Before that senior, the gate will burst soon. There will be a boss monster.”

“Yes, let’s do it.” Eleanor nodded without hesitation, understanding what he was trying to say. After drinking Claire’s potion, both of them were able to recover their energy fully. With her help, catching an S-rank boss would be well within their grasp.

“Then, I will give them a chance to come out. Be careful.”

“Huh.” The lightning web continued to kill the naga inside as they talked. Kang Shin-hyuk asked the administrator to turn off the HP acquisition notifications that kept popping up in front of him.

-The gate is collapsing! The named boss [Naga Priest Uzram (S+)] has been weakened!

At that moment, the gate shattered, and a huge naga appeared from it. It was a majestic naga with a scythe that had a three-meter long blade and a four-meter long handle. True to the S-class rank, the gate boss showed no signs of weakening despite the system message.

“I was waiting!” As soon as he appeared, Kang Shin-hyuk used his Wind Mastery to compress the vortex, crushing and bouncing around the naga still alive inside. Some of them made it out alive but were quickly handled by the other superhumans.

-The proficiency of [Wind Mastery (S)] has increased to A-rank!

Only the minus had disappeared, but the change was dramatic. The wind, which had not yet accepted his will, quieted down in an instant. All of its blades were turned inward.

[Hah?!]

Uzram would have thought there would be enemies outside, but he didn’t consider that the gate would be surrounded by a deadly storm. It was starting to compress around him as well.

[I can’t do anything with this wind!]

Uzram furiously swung his scythe that glowed with dark mana, cutting through the thick storm.

‘That sickle, maybe…?’

The storm broke away wildly, astonishing Kang Shin-hyuk, who couldn’t imagine it would be neutralized all at once. But he quickly shook it off.

‘No, rather, that works.’ His unique trait, which had grown to SS+, helped him keep his center and move as the stray winds caused the surrounding buildings to collapse. Even the priest was stunned by the reaction of the wind, giving Shin-hyuk an opening.

“Now!”

[What?!]

He fired off the lightning web with all he had. A huge force exploded out, shaking the heavens and earth, as the strands of gold entangled around the scythe and the naga’s hand. Electricity discharged as Shin-hyuk grabbed the scythe, black sparks sputtering out in resistance before he managed to pull it away into his inventory. The priest’s eyes went wide, unable to believe what had just happened.

[You, how did you take my scythe…!]

“Haaaaah!” However, he wasn’t given a chance to pursue Shin-hyuk, as Eleanor was waiting by the sidelines for the go-ahead. She started acting the moment he shouted, filling her body with energy. Her trait [Crag Volg (SS)] was activated, and an unprecedented amount of energy was placed into her spear. Eleanor charged beyond the limits of her agility with the added power of her boots. The tip of the assault lance, increasing in size as she charged, before striking into the abdomen of the naga priest.

[Kahh!]

Several things happened in the blink of an eye. Because of the collapse of the gate, the priest naga’s stamina weakened, and thus he could not withstand Eleanor’s assault as he began to spew up the blood. Kang Shin-hyuk quickly downed a spiritual recovery potion, pushing his recovering spiritual power into his Venom Princess Soul to prevent him from recovering.

“Kh!” five strands of poisonous webs twisted and combined into a single stalk, covered by the wind of spiritual power as the Shinfeng orb screamed in his arms. This would probably be the last attack he could use it with.

“Die!’

[You dare!]

The priest instinctively raised both of his arms to protect his chest and neck, but the strand cut through his lower body instead.

[Ahhhhh!]

The enemy’s weapon had been taken, and now his mobility was suppressed, but Kang Shin-hyuk didn’t rush him. He noticed the blood flowing back through the air for a moment after he had been hit.

-It is the unique magic of the Naga family. They can amplify their powers if their kin is nearby.

The superhumans had already taken care of the other nagas, so Kang Shin-hyuk prepared his own final attack.

“Senior, would it be possible again?”

“Huh.” Eleanor was gasping for breath after exhausting herself again, but she quickly corrected her posture. If she were alone, she might not have been able to carry out that charge, but Eleanor was aware of the people around her that depended on her, which pushed her forward despite the fatigue she felt.

“Then, we’ll go.” Kang Shin-hyuk launched another poisonous web, though it lacked the same power as before. The two orbs had already completed their roles and were quietly stowed away in his inventory. It had been a miracle they had worked so far, which would’ve normally been impossible without his trait.

[I will devour you and make you my new blood and flesh. The jewel you hid away will be offered up as a tribute to our god!]

As expected, the spider web was blocked and broken without the backing of the orbs. A shield of red blood formed and began to surround the priest’s body, his upper torso floating in the air after losing his lower half. Still intact, his arms began to twist and deform into a similar shape as the scythe he had wielded. A magic circle began to blow from his blood below him.

“He was possessed by the weapon.”

-You were fortunate to take it right away. Had he kept holding it, it would’ve been hard even with your current power.

“I was lucky…”

[Ahhhhhhhhh!]

Unable to withstand the rough transformation, blood began to spurt out from his forearms, only to be absorbed into the magic circle below, further accelerating his arms’ deformation. Longer, sharper, it was like the magic circle was crafting them into a weapon. It was unexpected but watching it, Kang Shin-hyuk felt like he received a bit of insight into metallurgy. It was like Kang Shin-hyuk had momentarily left, replaced by Anvil.

“Shall we finish then?” Kang Shin-hyuk signaled to Eleanor. Despite the fact that 100% of people who approached a transforming enemy in a book or movie would just wait for the end, she immediately started her assault back up as she believed in Kang Shin-hyuk.

-Kill it quickly!

[First, this one!]

The magic circle was sucked back up into the priest’s body, who faced Eleanor as he floated. He pulled his arms back then crossed them, trying to cleave her neck off. Kang Shin-hyuk activated his Golden Dragon ability a moment before, using it to strengthen Eleanor and weaken the priest. The poisonous web he had blocked moments before struck back at his arms to tie them down.

[Ugh?!]

The unreinforced webs should break easily, yet the priest wasn’t aware he had been weakened by Kang Shin-hyuk and failed to break the webs. His eyes went wide as he realized his fatal mistake.

“Rose thorn!” That moment was enough for Eleanor to pierce his neck.

-You have subdued one who is harmful to the order of things! Bonus based on membership level! You received 3,000,000HP! As a VIP bonus, you will receive additional HP equivalent to 50% of the reward, for a total of 4,500,000HP!

Following a moment of silence, a fountain of blood erupted from around the lance.

“I killed it.”

“We really did it.” The people who had been watching quietly began to speak up as soon as it was over.

“Who is that woman? Is she on the same team as Shin Eun-hyuk?”

“Was that her trait? That blow was ridiculously powerful. It even broke through that magic shield.”

“He looked weakened. Was that a debuff?”

“That debuff might’ve been from Shin Eun-hyuk.”

“To deal with his abilities and debuff…” They were curious about the two but soon went quiet as the one supposedly in charge of them, Shin Eunah, appeared from the sky. She ignored them all and approached Kang Shin-hyuk.

“Senior…?”

“Huh.” Shin Eunah had an indescribable expression on her face, but before Kang Shin-hyuk could react, she hugged him tightly. Exhausted after that fierce battle, he was unable to resist.

“Oh, senior?!”

“He is her younger brother!”

It was the moment the picture of the next day’s front page was taken.
