41 We Forest Guard 1

— It’s been a month since Ex retired from being an adventurer.

“It finally cuts out.”

“The effect time is too long.”

“In the Great Forest, monsters begin to rejuvenate.”

The forest guard’s prided new barrier has become just an unreliable fence.

At the former Guild Master shop, all the advanced equipment stopped working all at once.

A cold draft blows through the Viscount household. It looks like we will need a lot of firewood this year.

“Ex-kun isn’t coming??”

“Evason, a subcontractor of the Forest Guard, was the one who brought up such a lazy thing now.” To the weak, he’s a bar-code-bald bastard who boasts.

By the way, what he cares about is not even the effective time, but the content of the contract. Unbelievably, this man didn’t even know that his extended contract had expired.

Looking back, does it seem that the parent company was where Ex gave his retirement greetings? It’s no wonder that such a lowly person doesn’t know.

However, since the contract is between the Guild and the subcontractor Evason, there is a slight problem with Ex in this regard. Well, the bad thing is the receptionist who leaked the responsibility for the discontinuation report.

“Why isn’t he coming? He’s never been late for my work before, but it’s already noon! It’s too late!”

Evason has been sitting on his chair for some time now, rattling around with extortion and waiting for Ex.

…Ex retired 30 days ago.

“It’s bad if that priest doesn’t come. It’s very bad. If you think about it calmly, nobody can do that kind of work, right? When the hell are you going to come?”

Moreover, one of the reasons why he is so upset is that he can think of a lot of reasons why he can’t come.

Now that I think about it, I didn’t complain, so I pushed too many things on her. To be frank, I was pushing everything.

Furthermore, at home, there were many times when I was beaten down by my wife. Could I have been kinder?

“No. Ex-kun and I have a trusting relationship, so he must have understood it as a joke. You’re an idiot who overworked you!!”

Throw a big boomerang with all your might.

“I wish I could stab you roughly.”

“Usually, I was checking the report written by Ex-kun, who worked according to the instructions I received from the prime contractor.”

“I panicked and stood up.”

Then, like a spinning boomerang, it began to circle around the chair.

Occasionally, he repeatedly sits and stands, perhaps remembering that the chair is for sitting.

“Hurry up. We’re running out of time.”

He glared resentfully at the ticking clock.

The time for the regular report had already passed.

“I can’t wait any longer”

“I finally made a decision.”

“For now, let’s go to the guild and check.”

Even though Evason entered the adventurer’s guild. Somehow compared to before, the atmosphere of the guild was like a wake, and I was looking around.

“Let’s go outside and check the signboard.”

“It’s the adventurer’s guild after all.”

I wondered if something had happened, but when I found the receptionist, I complained.

“What kind of education does your guild have? Your ex-kun hasn’t come to our house yet?”

“Huh?…is it Ex-san?”

What are you saying? Said the receptionist with her eyes. I also spoke.

“Huh~ What are you talking in your sleep? Mr. Ex quit a long time ago. A month ago!”

The adventurers also looked at Evason coldly.

“‘Something crazy is here. What is that ultra idiot?’”

The receptionist took notice of the commotion and resumed writing the documents.

Evason is here because the receptionist neglected her obligation to report her retirement from E.S., but she looks ignorant.

…This woman is strong.

“I’m (subcontractor) Evason of the Forest Ranger! You’re out of the question. Call Guild Master.”

“Huh? Guild Master is a mine? If you need help, go to the mines. Or rather, go.”

Ignoring the red-faced Evason and telling him to go home, I started filling out the failed request form. Haha, why are there so many?

“Or can you introduce me to something delicious?”

The receptionist slammed the desk at the bald person who was too much of a hindrance, and the eyes of the adventurers who continued to fail were focused on Evason.

“Th-this kind of small fry is out of the question!”

Having turned the tide, Evason shouted and left the Adventurer’s Guild to escape.

This is because he is vaguely aware that the amount of work and the amount paid to Ex was insane. There is no godly person who would accept such a condition.

“For now, let’s report to the prime contractor.”

“I was in a predicament.”

“It’s been five years since this happened!” and scratched her thin hair.

“Ex-kun, where the hell are you?? You and I are on good terms, so please come back soon!!!!”
