Chapter 128 – The Three Eyes are Serious!….Grown Wings

 

A three eyes brought me a pair of winter shoes.

I was surprised as they look perfect.

Eh? What’s this?

 

With the hard work of the three eyes and the giant bug, winter clothes are all prepared.

Recently, there have been a lot of clothes with well-thought designs.

There’s even one with a bunny ribbon that even I thought it was cute the moment I saw it.

In short, I have to put this to stop or they would go out of control.

 

The clothes were perfect but the problem was the shoes.

The shoes I’m currently wearing are my rubber sneakers.

I know they were rubber but I don’t know how rubber was made.

I heard that they came from rubber trees but beyond that, I’m clueless.

I gave up looking for rubber as soon as I realized that.

 

So, I decided to think of a different kind of footwear, like zori.

I thought it would be easy to make them since I only need to dry stalks of the wheat as raw material.

However, I don’t know how to knit so I gave up.

It’s impossible to make zori if I’ve only seen and worn them.

However, my shoes are already tattered since I’ve worn them for a year. It even has a hole.

 

After my failure with making zori, the three eyes worked hard.

Based on the picture I drew for them….they managed to complete footwear.

The first thing they made was something that looks like a setta(a type of zori).

They made it by tying a string on a wooden board.

I can wear it all alright. However, it is impossible for me to use them in the forest.

They are dangling on my foot.

 

Then, they modified the setta.

They added strings that can be tied up to my foot to make sure it won’t dangle.

The finished product looked like a pair of sandals gone wrong.

They’re no longer dangling but the board below was so hard that I find it painful to walk.

I thought I could just get used to it but this should be fixed.

How? Foot size? Shape? They checked my foot size and shape and modified the wood below.

Perfect fit setta sandals? Sounds good.

I can use this in summer without problem even if I run through the forest.

Seeing that there’s an anti-slip coating on the sole of the setta, I’ll think of it as a sign of care from the three eyes.

 

Using sandals in winter will make you feel cold.

I thought I should put on some socks. The three eyes worked immediately again.

The sole is a warm fur and there’s even a thin leather processed into the shape of a shoe.

It seems that they made good use of the original shape of leather but…I couldn’t tell how they made it.

I looked at the three eyes with admiration. They gave me a thumbs up and turned away.

 

….who taught you that pose?

 

Anyway, I’m thankful for the three eyes.

They seemed to have completed the shoes of the kids too. They’re scared but grateful.

They no longer freeze when a rock doll goes near them.

I guess they are used to them.

 

I tried using the shoes they made on the snow to check comfort.

….ah, they’re not waterproof.

My feet are cold.

The three eyes are staring at me…no, the shoes are perfect, there’s no problem!

For the next few days, I received several pairs of replacement shoes. Thanks.

The kids have gotten used to the drunken banquet happening in front of them!

I thought of a lot of names for it but since it’s a gathering of drunkards, I settled on “drunken banquet”.

I think I was drunk when I came up with that one.

Maa, it’s a drunken banquet after all.

 

The kids screamed and fainted when they first attended the drunken banquet.

I’ve gotten used to it and was even drinking a lot that I forgot to pay attention to the kids.

When the kids woke up, they hugged each other and cried.

I’m really sorry.

 

I guess you’ll get used to it after seeing it a few times.

I found myself leaning forward more and more when magic started to break out.
